One of our mini Aegean tour routes we made in April was Dalyan.. Starting from Bodrum, Mazi, Çökertme, Akbük, Ören and Akyaka‘ After seeing it, we said “It is impossible not to go to Dalyan” and we set off early in the morning.. Our plan was to see both Dalyan and Iztuzu Beach. Although it was not easy to fit all this beauty in one day, it was one of our most enjoyable trips.. After reading the rest of the article, I’m sure you’ll agree with me and make you want to go to Dalyan!

Dalyan is a district of Ortaca, Muğla.. Therefore, it is very close to holiday resorts such as Göcek, Fethiye, Akyaka, Dalaman, Marmaris.. It takes an average of an hour to drive between Akyaka-Dalyan. The newly constructed roads greatly increase the comfort.. After turning on the music and putting ourselves in full mode, we focus on the beauty that awaits us.. After passing the Marmaris sign, we see the Köyceğiz sign a little further ahead and we decide to add Köyceğiz to our route with a sudden decision.. After parking our car, Koycegiz Lake welcomes us with its dazzling view.. It is so still and beautiful that it makes me feel like I’m looking at a postcard.
We sit at one of the lakeside cafes to enjoy this unique view a little more.. We say a cup of tea and give the view the right. Boat trips can also be made in Koycegiz Lake, but since our time is limited, we unintentionally leave the view behind and continue on our way.. After a half-hour drive from Köyceğiz, we see the Dalyan sign.. But the sign is so old and small that we turn the wheel at the last moment.. It is good to be careful 🙂
The distance between Dalyan and Iztuzu is 12 kilometers. First of all, we want to go to Iztuzu Beach and enjoy the sea, so we leave Dalyan until the evening.. The road, which is very pleasant until Dalyan, leaves its place to many bends on the way to Iztuzu.. Fortunately, there are quite a lot of redirects, otherwise it’s hard not to get confused.. After passing through Dalyan, the bends gradually increase and the road begins to narrow.. After a while, as the voices of “Come on, haven’t we come” are rising, Peasant Lake appears before us with all its beauty.. After another five minutes, we arrive at Iztuzu Beach. We experience the advantage of coming in April, as we experience in many other places.. There is neither a parking problem nor an overwhelming crowd! Long live spring getaways!
We haven’t paid the entrance fee to Iztuzu Beach because the season has not started yet, but there is a fee of 3 TL per person in summer. Parking fee in summer 15 TL. If you want sunbeds and umbrellas 2 sunbeds+1 umbrella 25 TL is required. (Price information has been updated in July 2020.) As soon as you step on Iztuzu Beach, you want to walk on the golden and soft beach and swim in the sea as if running! Iztuzu Beach is a natural wonder with a length of 5 kilometers.. Moreover, its beauty is registered! In addition to being selected as “Europe’s Best Open Space” by The Times, it is also cited as one of the best beaches in Europe.
The most important feature of Iztuzu Beach is its extinction. Being a breeding ground for caretta carettas, which are in danger of. Caretta carettas, which mate in April every year, lay their eggs on Iztuzu Beach between June and August.. For this reason, certain rules must be followed in order to swim and sunbathe at Iztuzu Beach. Places to swim and sunbathe are marked so that the eggs of cute turtles are not damaged.. After the regions are determined, no one can approach those points.. It is not possible to enter Iztuzu Beach between 20:00 and 08:00.. Since we coincided with the spring period, the surroundings were quite calm, we enjoyed the sea to the fullest when no one was around.
How do you say the sea of Iztuzu, first of all it is very shallow! Ideal for families with children and non-swimmers, the sea deepens after swimming for a long time.. Although the bottom is completely sand, it is almost like glass.. Another feature of Iztuzu is that it is one of the rare seas where salty and fresh water are together.. Iztuzu Beach, where no construction is allowed because it is a protected area, is one of the rare places that has remained untouched.. There’s nothing like swimming while looking at the lush forests! If you don’t like the cold sea like me, you won’t want to leave Iztuzu.

This is Iztuzu Beach, one of the natural wonders of our country .🌊💙Iztuzu Beach, which is only 10 kilometers away from Dalyan, is one of the most ideal addresses where you can enjoy the sea with its soft golden yellow sand and long beach.🏊🏻 ♀️If you want to come with your own car, there is a fee at the entrance. Parking is available, there is also a changing cabin, WC and shower on the beach.. Two sunbeds and an umbrella cost 15₺.🏖There is also a buffet where you can meet your food and beverage needs.🌭☕️Another alternative to come to Iztuzu is the boats departing from Dalyan.. Boats that reach Dalyan in about half an hour provide regular transportation throughout the summer. The most important feature of Iztuzu Beach is that it is a breeding ground for sea turtles.. That’s why places to swim and sunbathe are marked. 🐢🐢It is also very suitable for children because the sea is shallow.😊✌🏻. . . . . . . #seyahatimgeldi #travel #iztuzu #mugla #summer #photography #photo #travelingtheworld #stayandwander #worldtrip #gununfotosu #objektifimden #aniyakala #cokgezenlerkulubu #lifestyle #travel #travelblog #iamtb #beautifuldestinations #stayandwander #worldtrip #gununfotosu #objektifimden #aniyakala #cokgezenlerkulubu #lifestyle #travel #travelblog #iamtb #beautifuldestinations #speechlessplaces #speechlessgirlsports #instaswear#travels #dametraveler #roamersclub
When you get hungry after swimming so much, you can get toast from the buffet at the back of the beach.. you can find snack foods. However, if you ask me, I recommend bringing your sandwich and drink with you.. Because the prices are slightly above average. There are also changing cabins and toilets on the beach.. The sea, which is calm in the morning hours, starts to fluctuate with the wind from the afternoon.. If you don’t like wavering sea and wind, you may not like Iztuzu.
You can come to Iztuzu Beach by your private car, or you can also reach Iztuzu Beach by bus that departs hourly from Dalyan.. Between 8.00 in the morning and 20.00 in the evening, minibus services continue reciprocally.. You can also choose dolmus boats for transportation to Iztuzu Beach. You can come to Iztuzu in approximately 40 minutes by taking in the sea air with the minibus boats departing from Dalyan.. Transportation fee to Iztuzu by minibus is 20 TL per person. The ticket is valid for round trip, so I recommend you to keep your ticket well 🙂
After enjoying the sea, sand and sun until 16.00, it was time to go to Dalyan.. We said goodbye to Iztuzu and set off for Dalyan.. While we were thinking about where to eat on the way, we came across Gölbaşı Restaurant.. We said we’d go inside first and see if we don’t like it, we’ll find another place, but we were already sitting at our table by the lake and looking at the menu.. We ordered fish, salad and a few appetizers. I couldn’t help thinking about what it would be like to live in such a peaceful place while we were eating with the sounds of ducks and geese.
After our dinner, we took a short trip to Dalyan center. Although this charming holiday resort built on canals is overshadowed by Fethiye and Marmaris next to it, it is definitely worth seeing with its natural beauties… I wanted to take a tour on the boats lined up by the canal, but our time was limited this time. If you have time to stay in Dalyan for a few days, you can take a boat tour and visit the famous mud baths and spend a few enjoyable hours.
Our purpose of stopping by Dalyan was to see Kaunos Ancient City.. 4 BC. century Kaunos rock tombs were before us in all their glory. The rock tombs, which were built with the belief that the higher the tombs, the closer to God, belong to the kings of the period.. At that time, the secret of such impressive architecture is still unsolved.. While you can see the Kaunos rock tombs with Dalyan boat tours, you can also watch for a long time while sipping your tea in the Kaunos Tea Garden.
Although Dalyan can be visited daily, it is worth staying for a few nights to wander around. best of. I can’t get enough of you Dalyan, I’ve already started to make plans to meet again in the fall!
