I am justifiably proud to start a fresh article on
Monthly recommendations. Not a handful of content. I wanted the suggestions that I included in my Instagram stories from time to time, with a lifespan of only 24 hours, to be more permanent, and I decided to share them regularly as a blog post.
Monthly recommendations where I will share our discoveries from the previous month The series has everything: a phone app I started using, a recipe I like, a product I want to buy, maybe a trick> point is a tourist spot that I have not heard of until this age but I want to go and see immediately, series, movies, blogs, websites, Youtube channels… What is new to me and Anything I think you’ll like will be in these articles.
I’m not an expert or critic on any subject; I do research according to my area of interest in certain periods and try new things on my own.. That’s why I looked at some suggestions and said, “Good luck with your internet, bro.” You wouldn’t say or something, would you? I may have just learned, what is it!
Transparency is important! Monthly Recommendations that you started reading: What Did I Discover in July? blog post contains some collaboration links. If you like my posts and if you want to support me, you can get me a small commission at no extra cost with any reservation you make through the links.. Thanks in advance.
Mobile Game: Elevate (Android | IOS)
Elevate I put app in game category, but actually English and math a phone app that lets you exercise your brain on it. “Let’s not play for nothing, let’s learn while having fun.” Its motto is Elevate fits perfectly.
Before you start using the app, you take a small test to determine your English and math level.. Different sets of games are then unlocked daily based on your level and progress.
Dozens of topics such as speed reading and comprehension, finding synonyms, correct use of punctuation, idioms, scaling, finding percentages, calculating discounts or taxes, etc. There are some great games.
It’s not over! Photographic memory, etc., which you can use to make up for your deficiencies in these areas.. There is also a “Study” section where different techniques are explained.
I use the free version; I have the right to play 3 games a day, it’s enough because I don’t want to spend more time. But since I don’t have access to all of the available games, I have to play the same games over and over again until I level up.
Uğur, on the other hand, signed a first in her life and paid money for an application, she got carried away with it from the first week and switched to the paid version of Elevate.. He has unlimited access to every game, every study kit and uses it with extreme efficiency.
Our strong recommendation.
Travel Item: In-flight Phone Holder
Watch on the go Downloading movies to the phone for travel has now taken its place among our foreign travel plan preparations.. If we can find a suitable place to put the phone behind the seat in front of us, great! In cases where we cannot find it, we are exposed to an “enjoyment of watching” far from ergonomics for hours.
Of course, this problem was not to be helpless.. Even in-flight phone holders are out.. I named it like this myself, but I hope it doesn’t have a more technical name on the market.
You don’t have to use these products on an airplane.. There are products that can adapt to different surfaces at different angles.. For example, when I’m cooking, I use the phone in the kitchen first because I’m not sure where to plant it.
We haven’t stepped out of the house for 5 months because of the corona.. As a matter of fact, we temporarily closed the travel shopping book, but I still added the product samples that I liked above.. Just click on the photos to see the details..
Movie: Hevi Reissu (Heavy Trip)
“Let’s watch something to distract us.” Hevi Reissu is a Finnish production.
In a hauntingly beautiful town in Finland, an amateur metal band decides to attend a music festival in Norway without any stage experience.. Things are developing Especially those who like heavy metal are likely to watch with a grin; there are fine dialogues. Those who don’t like it have to endure the black metal torture at the beginning of the movie, which lasts for about 15 minutes.

TV Series: Russian Doll
Everybody probably watched, praised, finished Russian Doll in 2019. I just had the opportunity, what’s up!
The plot of the series is a bit fantastic. Nadia enters an endless cycle where she dies on her birthday and wakes up again on the same day.. Tries to understand and figure out what’s going on throughout the series. Messages, characters, dialogues and story flow were exquisite.. I regret postponing for so long. This is also my strong recommendation for the late learners like me.
Nicky was my favorite character in Orange is the New Black; I loved Natasha Lyonne’s energy. As a free and down-to-earth female character, it was a pleasure to watch Nadia with Natasha Lyonne’s performance, let me note that.

Yes, we are again in English.
Earlier this year, we intended to apply for immigration to Australia and Canada.. Since Uğur’s score will be low due to his age, we have only one trump card left: to get a very high or even full score from the English exam (IELTS).. That’s why I started to give 10 times the importance of practicing English.
I learned EngVid’s teachers in this way.. Engvid.com is an English education website. On the site, you can watch videos from different teachers, at different levels and topics, and solve the related tests.. All for free.
Each teacher has a separate channel on Youtube; so you can follow the videos on the site on Youtube, which is how I do it.. My favorites are Ronnie and Gill. There are very useful contents that you can learn from the locals, especially on the nuances of everyday speech.
Recipe: Cauliflower Korma with Tofu
“How better can a cauliflower dish be?” I couldn’t help but share the recipe that made you say. Original recipe by Allison Day. If you want to apply exactly the same, you can look at his site.. I made some changes according to our taste and eating habits; I will write it that way here as well.
What is Korma, if you are wondering, it is a type of yoghurt or cream sauce used in meat and vegetable dishes in Indian cuisine.. Maybe you have come across the type that is sold ready in a jar.. Since the sauce in this recipe is without yogurt and cream, we liken it to “butter chicken.”. I like to use it because it is a good source of protein.
- MATERIALS
- 1 small cauliflower – bite-sized split
- 1 package (350 g) tofu – drained, diced
- 1 medium carrot – coarsely chopped
- 1 medium onion – coarsely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic – roughly chopped
- 1 large capia pepper (or 1 large tomato) – coarsely chopped
- 3/4 cup vegetable milk (regular milk is also fine). If you are going to use tomatoes instead of peppers, use ½ cup.)
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil (olive oil or butter can also be used.)
- 1 teaspoon of curry spice (You can add more if you like. )
- 1.5 teaspoons of salt
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- Parsley or mint – chopped
- HOW TO WORK
- Press the tofu and wait for 2 hours before you start cooking the food so that the water drains well.
- Add the oil to a saucepan.. When hot, add onion, garlic, carrot, pepper and curry. Fry the onions until they soften.
- Add milk and bring to a boil.. Cook until the vegetables are soft (5-10 minutes) and remove from the stove.
- Place through a blender and make a sauce.. Add lemon juice into it.
- Put the sauce back into the pot.. Put the tofu first and mix it gently.. Then add the cauliflowers one by one and mix.. (If you add all of them at the same time and mix, the tofu will be very crumbly.)
- Cook the cauliflowers on medium heat until they are soft.. When serving, add the parsley on top.. Bon Appetit
