How to provide transportation in Jordan? Before starting the Jordan Transportation guide, my first suggestions are; You can reach Jordan with a flight of approximately 2 and a half hours from Turkey.. The airports you will use will be either in Amman or Aqaba.. If you wish, you can enter Jordan by road from the borders of countries such as Israel, Saudi Arabia or Egypt.
Jordan Transport Guide
If you are going to enter the border by road, you should make sure that the border gate is open before you go.. Many border gates may not work 24/7.
O Therefore, before you go, check whether the border gate is open on those days.. Also, I say watch all the videos I shot in Jordan and added above.
1. Getting to Jordan by Plane
Pegasus Airlines has flights to Amman, the capital of Jordan, 3 days a week.. One-way Jordan flight ticket from Ankara is 79 dollars.
Very affordable.. Round-trip will cost between 450-550 TL. If you are flying from Istanbul, you will fly via Ankara.
We, we went on sunday morning and came back on sunday evening the next week. We even witnessed how the fire brigades greeted an airline company that made its first flight, since it was Pegasus’ first flight.. We even had the chance to buy local items as a gift at the entrance.. It was a good experience.
I explained how I stayed abroad economically, how I rented hotels-hostels and houses cheaply, in my “Economic hotel search engines” article, line by line.. I would definitely recommend you to take a look.
If you are going to Aqaba, THY organizes direct flights.. Airfare to Aqaba will be expensive. ‘Cause it’s always an expensive route. Therefore, before you go, make sure to coincide with the campaign period.
Jordan hotels, from my article, you can take care of your stay in Jordan.
you will fly dearly. Recently, there were flights to Aqaba for 200 TL.. If you come across such opportunities, I say buy it without thinking.

If you are going to take care of your transportation by plane in Jordan, they organize flights especially between Amman and Aqaba.. You can fly without any problems.
Before you go, take a look at my flight ticket search engine article.. These lists will help you. To see my suggestions about air tickets, you can check my article on cheap flight ticket search engines.
How I find cheap flight tickets abroad, which search engines I use “Best Flight Search Engines” I just told you in my post. I definitely recommend you to read it.
2. Road Transportation in Jordan
I would say no. Very few bus companies. Let me tell the truth: There is only 1 company. His name is Jett too. You will be able to buy tickets online. But it doesn’t go everywhere.. It can go to certain places.
Like Petra – Aqaba – Amman. Come on, I passed that too, it can be difficult to find a place, especially during busy periods.. Or the hours may not suit you. Organize your holiday by knowing and planning these. A friendly recommendation from me to you! Click to see the website.
3. Car Rental in Jordan
This is my take on transportation in Jordan. I miss traveling in a country by renting a car, my friends.. It was so beautiful. We got bored, we pulled to the right, we sat and watched the sunset. We visited the villages. We parked in the neighborhoods and played ball with the children.. We didn’t book a hotel or plan.. we just drove. We went wherever our heart wanted.
So a very, very important piece of advice from me to you.. If you are going to visit Jordan, if you are 2-4 people, I would definitely recommend renting a car for the sake of being economical and being free.. Don’t worry !
You can easily rent anywhere. Gas is cheap too. For example, its warehouse is 15 Dinars.. around 60 TL. How about the car rental process in Jordan? Let me explain :
Enter Expedia.com . From there click on the car rental tab. You will most likely be getting the car from Amman or Aqaba.. So choose any city and the days you will pick up-deliver the car.
Choose the car that fits your budget. We chose Kia, one of the most suitable cars, and paid 450 TL per week.. They will ask you if you want additional insurance.
This insurance is more comprehensive.. If you have an accident and it is your fault, the additional insurance you will pay will cover up to xxx TL of your damage.. We did not have insurance. Why ? ‘Cause I ain’t gonna say bullshit like we’re careful kids or something. We took the risk. The country was already very expensive.
And we said, let’s not pay for this, we would go and drink beer in Aqaba for that money.. you don’t do that. If your situation is good, pay a little more and get comprehensive insurance.
Before you hit the road, also take a look at my article “Car rental abroad”. By the way, the roads are beautiful in Jordan. You can travel comfortably.
How can we travel in Jordan without knowing the way and without knowing the trail? Let me tell. You will land at the airport. Excitement is at its peak. It is very likely that someone from the car rental company will meet you at the door.
Tell him you want to get a phone line.. he takes you. If it doesn’t, turn left after exiting the airport (I’m speaking for Amman.)
The country’s GSM company Zain. Think like our GSM companies. Say you want to buy a phone line. 3 GGBYT will be 8.8 dinars and 5 GGBYT will be 12.8 dinars.
We bought 3 and 1 week was enough. After plugging in the phone, you will be able to find directions using Google Maps or whatever maps application you have.. But stop. Don’t go now. I’m not finished yet.
See my article “Best hotel search engines” on finding hotels..
When we say that the roads in the country are beautiful, do not think like the roads in the Netherlands-Germany. there is a way. I meant to go. Most roads can be dirt and gravel.
DO NOT RELY ON GPS, especially in the city center and intersections.. will mislead you. Many points are either out of date or under construction.. So you always look at the signs anyway.. These are the most important points in terms of transportation in Jordan.
And let a good driver drive the car. Yucel always drove our car. I don’t know much about driving, but I’m a very good co-pilot.. Thank God we managed to go to every place we were curious about.. Millet is your head.
Use the links Booking.com, Hotelscombined.com for accommodation.
4. Urban Transportation in Jordan
They don’t drive like humans.. Always watch out for cars. You can easily use taxis. In general, you can reach many destinations for 2-3 Dinars.. no subway. There is a bus. I’ve never used it, but usually prices are between 0.25 dinar and 1 dinar.
Already, if your hotels are in the places I will tell you, all you need for transportation in the city will be 1 bottle of water.. strength to your feet. Do not worry. You won’t be too tired. Just a little hot that’s all. Finally, for all my articles about Jordan, please see my Jordan Travel Guide.
