I think one of the cheapest and best beers in the world is in Cambodia. The country’s popular domestic beer Angkor is only $1, and this is not the market price, but the price in bars and restaurants where you can call it high quality.. Moreover, Angkor Beer is produced in Sihanoukville. Angkor Beer is light in taste, lighter in color, and its large bottle is 640 ml.. Sold under the slogan My Country, My Beer. Don’t forget to taste it if you pass by.. Beer and gasoline prices are similar in this intermediate country.. You can consume gasoline or beer like water, so it is announced to those who love beer and gasoline.
Sihanoukville or locally called Kampong Saom, the city center is on the outskirts of Victory Hill, right by the sea. an established city. I was able to visit Occheuteal Beach and Serendipity Beaches right in the city.. I settled in @Chil X hotel with a nicer view and faster internet ($8). After a busy week at the laptop in my hotel room or on the terrace, I need to do something again.. I rented a motorcycle from the hotel where I was staying.. ($5).
I was told that there is very little gas in the engine, so I thought I would follow the coastal road and find a gas station below, I was wrong, I was stuck on the road! I asked the people at an open counter selling ready meals on the road but they said it was far away, while I was desperately thinking about what to do, the woman’s husband came, it was a German.. He helped immediately, he took his motorcycle and I went behind him and bought 2 liters of gasoline from those who sold gasoline as bottles on the road and came back.. I thanked and continued on my way.
I was following the road, I did not have any plans. The first place I reached was Victory Beach. This is a beach where backpackers on a tight budget hang out.. It has a clean beach. I reached another shore from the road that stretched through the trees, and this was Independence Beach’. Named after the old Independence Hotel. The stretching beach with white sands was mostly populated by local tourists.. Numerous stalls and simple restaurants and cafes line the beach. As I always say, Cambodia was the name of calm for me.. It has a calm atmosphere even when there are children and crowds around.
I rode a motorcycle with great pleasure along the way.. I wanted to cross the big bridge ahead, but couldn’t find the way. This bridge was newly built, the old bridge collapsed during the Songkran Festival in previous years and hundreds of people died. When I couldn’t find the way, I plunged into the trees with eye-catching colors, which are natural wonders ahead.. With the shimmering green trees, the azure and cloudy sky and the sea on the other side, I couldn’t stand it and dived into the broken path with my motorbike.. Everyone who saw me greeted and smiled.. This place was not that touristic, but the impressive view drew me here.. You know how places like this remain untouched, how do you think that the resort and tourism industry has not been caught and parceled out?. A splendid cape, the forest behind, a splendid view both in the east and west. I think the rocky coast of this place kept it untouched like this.
After the road, I reached Sokha Beach.. Right next to the beach is the Sokha Beach Hotel, Cambodia’s first 5-star hotel. Except for hotel guests, they are not allowed to enter the beach with white sands.
While it was raining a little bit, I jumped on my bike again and continued.. I was just taking pictures, I had visited many beautiful beaches, but only my feet touched the sand, I was just taking pictures without swimming in any of them.. I followed the road back to the Golden Lion intersection in central Sihanoukville.. I was very hungry and had Angkor Beer in hand at a cafe near the beach.
