2. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum
The first thing we do in the morning is to see what has happened since the day the atomic bomb exploded, to see the drama and pain of the city, to see the conscience of humanity. This museum, where you will examine the remains of that inhumane day, is our first stop.

We start by paying a representative fee of 50 yen as an entrance fee to tour the museum.. Inside, more than 70,000 people were said to have died instantly from the time the atomic bomb was dropped, and over 200,000 over time.. You can actually guess this in the photo that proves the city is flat.

Einstein, who split the atom in 1938, started to work fully in 42.. The first trial of the project, which cost $2 billion (now around $20 billion) at the time, was successfully tested in New Mexico in 1945.. After the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii in 1941, the Pacific war broke out and other allies joined the war, and the United States was intent on ending the war.

On the other hand, the Soviets intended to attack Japan. But since the USA was trying to prove its power to everyone and be the sole judge, it did what it wanted on the morning of August 6, at 8:15, when everyone was going to work, 600 meters above the city.. Then what happened ?
This bomb caused such a strong destruction that the city was flattened, so to speak.. The bomb, which exploded 600 meters above the city, caused more damage to the city.. The initial heat of almost 4,000 degrees Celsius literally burned people. All living things have officially caught fire and everything has melted.

Even the hardest objects turned to sand. People are blazingly burned, torn apart. The shock wave that occurred at the time of the explosion then pulled all the objects towards the center of the explosion.
You can compare this to a stone you throw into the sea.. Everything in the impact area has been completely dragged back, just as all the water comes back up again after a pit has occurred.. Afterwards, the black cloud formed and people unfortunately drank the rain water falling from this cloud.. But because of this rain, which contains radioactive substances, they have died for people.
Here is one of the 10-15 buildings left behind from this explosion, the Dome, the tower, which I will talk about below.. By the way, the USA dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki after Hiroshima.. But still, 70,000 people lost their lives in the city where 200,000 people lived.. Thousands of people left behind were either disabled or died.. These survivors were called “hibakusha,” meaning “affected by the explosion.”. It is said that there are still thousands of hibakusa.
Here in this museum, the photographs revealing the effect of the explosion, the remaining clothes, watches, notes, in short, many items that you can think of, be a lesson.
They make you feel that spirit as soon as you step inside.. your eyes are filling up. you are upset. You get emotional when you see how little children are burned, how people are left to die regardless of young or old, innocent souls die for nothing, one by one in the photos.. you’re hurting. your eyes are filling up. 3. Children Peace Monument
After leaving the museum, we continue walking through Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, a little sadly.. Almost all the places I will count are side by side and in this Memorial Park.. The Children’s Peace Monument is our next stop.
The memory of this monument, located in a lush green park, is very deep.. The story is as follows; 2-year-old Sadako Sasaki, a child living outside the city after the explosion. 10 years later, he had leukemia due to radiation. When he came to visit, he brought with him square papers to make origami.. These origami have meaning in Japanese. For example, Sadako started to make cranes.
The crane bird symbolizes health and long life.. If she made 1,000 her one wish would come true. However, Sadako was able to make 644 of them.. Her friends completed the rest and Sadako was buried with the origami of the tomb.. This monument symbolizes peace in the world.. Children’s origami from all over the world is on display around this monument.
4. Atomic Bomb Dome
We continue walking along the river, walking around the park. It’s still humid. Our faces are a little sullen.. One gets bored inevitably. you fucking. you are upset. But there’s nothing to be done. All you learn is the exemplary history of the country, the determination and productivity it has shown despite all the hardships and troubles it has gone through.. Anyway.
