When I decided to go back to Paris after 7 years and started researching for a trip to Paris, I learned that Paris cabaret shows are famous.. Although there are many different venue alternatives to watch a cabaret show, I decided to discover what is happening inside the Red Mill, which has become one of the symbols of Paris, namely to watch the Moulin Rouge show.. For those who want to crown their Paris trip with this magnificent dance and light show, in this article I will talk about how to buy tickets, what is the price, what is in the show.
Tickets for the Paris Moulin Rouge show are available online, get them as soon as your plan is finalized because I have read warnings in many forums that places may run out.. I bought it immediately just in case.. The day after I bought it, I wondered if it was really running out, and I looked at the site again and saw that the session I bought was 10 Euros cheaper, here’s your luck.. Of course, if you think of it at the last moment and while you’re there, you can try to get it at the door, of course, but this is a bit risky, especially when there will be high demand such as summer season or weekend.
Same day There are several (usually three) different sessions in it, you can wake up the clock.. Dinner and VIP ticket options are available, of course, expensive. Pricing logic is like airfare, prices rise during peak days and hours.. Tickets indicated in red are for the Moulin Rouge show; Alternatively, blue tickets can be issued.. I almost bought it because it was cheaper, but those tickets belonged to the ‘brother’ show five minutes away from our famous mill.. So when buying tickets, you need to pay attention to which show it is for, you should make sure that you buy it for the Moulin Rouge show.
There is an option to add champagne to your ticket after choosing the day and time you want. For 10 Euros per person. Although its name is champagne, you can generally think of it as a beverage, non-alcoholic beverages can also be requested, for example.. While I’m watching the show, I don’t want to sit idly by, and since I’m eager for something, I added champagne to my ticket just to make sure it’s complete.. Half a bottle of champagne comes per person, so if you add it for two people, they open a bottle.
There is no cancellation or change right after you buy the ticket, so I hope your plan won’t change.. After deducting the fee from your card, you print out the tickets they sent and leave.. I paid 114 euros for the ticket, 104 euros for the Moulin Rouge show and 10 euros for champagne. We can’t say it’s cheap, of course, but I recommend it to those who have the opportunity as a “once in a lifetime” experience.
The e-mail they sent the ticket includes dress code, that is, information about how to dress, they don’t want you to wear sneakers or be too sporty.. It is useful to be stylish without exaggerating what is called elegant or smart casual, I took boots and skirts even though I went with cabin luggage.. Heels are not a must for women, a non-sports flat boot/shoe like mine may be preferred.. Is it ok to combine it with clothes such as blouse-skirt, blouse-pants, dress?. For men, we can say shirts, jeans/cloth trousers and normal shoes.
It is a good idea to go an hour before the show day; because places are not numbered and you pass to the place you like. Like all tourists, you first look at the red mill from afar and then show the ticket in your hand to the attendant, and enter the building. At that moment, I felt very privileged and was happy.
The interior of Moulin Rouge is red-colored and bright, just like its building.. I have to wait in line for a while, while I was waiting, I wondered how the hall would be and what the show would be like.
Finally, the show time approached and they started to take it to the hall.. I understood the reason why the price of the ticket was cheaper; There were empty seats in the hall.. As I said, the logic of the plane ticket means that they broke the price when they could not sell it.. Of course, it worked for me, I sat at the table that sees the stage directly from the front and is one step above the tables in front of it.
The waiter came before the show started, looked at the ticket and took an order when he saw that he had a drink.. I guess I wanted champagne because it’s raccoon like that.. The champagne was delicious, even though it was a minus point that they brought it with a wine glass.
When it was show time, the lights went out and the dancers appeared on stage, looking freakishly impressive in their bustling costumes. There is quite a large cast of dancers, the costumes and props are great. Dancers, decors, costumes, music are constantly changing, and the stage is never empty, and you have to keep your eyes peeled to not miss what’s going on.. You can’t tell it apart anyway Everything is so meticulously and perfectly prepared that it’s hard not to be enchanted.
Solo or double-trio performances are performed following a crowded show; There are acrobats skating on a small circle, men jumping over each other while singing, the old man making the puppets show, and even the woman jumping into the aquarium with snakes.. When the aquarium with snakes suddenly came out of the ground in front of the stage and started to rise, I said out loud “No more”, losing myself
The most famous part of the Moulin Rouge show is the Frence cancan dance, the dance they do as a group by turning on and off their white-blue-red skirts (French flag colors).. I mentioned in my article on Places to Visit in Paris; Moulin Rouge cabaret became famous with this dance. Therefore, if you search the internet with keywords such as Moulin Rouge show, you will see that there are mostly pictures and videos about cancan dance.. Pictures and videos are forbidden during the show, but after a while I couldn’t control myself and took short shots in between
One doesn’t feel sad when the show, which lasts about two hours, is over, it’s time to return to the real world from the glittering show world.. When you go out, you are different from other tourists who are only photographed in front of the red mill; because you also know what’s inside
If you want to watch the Moulin Rouge show but it is full on the date of your visit, if the prices are too high, or if there is anything that doesn’t make sense to you, you can also consider the Lido cabaret show as an alternative, its location is the Champs Elysees (Champs Elysées) Street. over.
