American Dream, Big Apple, City That Never Sleeps, Capital of the World and many more. All of them belong to New York City, which deserves all its attributes.. I prepared a long-term travel guide for New York, the city of dreams, once inhabited by Indians.. It couldn’t be shorter for this huge city.
– New York is a city made up of 5 parts.. Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island. – It has received the title of the City that Never Sleeps with its metro that is open 24 hours a day.. – Approximately 170 languages are spoken in the city. – One out of every three people was born in a country other than the USA.
– You are expected to tip 15-20% in restaurants and cafes.
– You can use any restaurant, cafe or hotel you see for toilets.. Western America Travel Guide Las Vegas Travel Guide For details of places to visit in New York, visit https://blog.biletbayi.com/new-york-travel-yerler.html you can visit. Watch and subscribe to the video on my Youtube channel for my New York trip in March 2020. The video will be very useful, I’m sure.
Transportation:The direct flight between Istanbul and New York (JFK) takes 9 hours with THY. If you want a more affordable flight than THY, you can go with Air France by connecting via France.. Transfer times do not exceed 1-1:30 hours. We bought our connecting flight from Air France at a fantastic price of 1500 TL per person..
Airport Transportation: John F. Kennedy Airport – Manhattan
- Taxi: 50-60 USD
- Shuttle: 20 USD
- Metro: Take the “Air Train” to Jamaica Station. Although the Air Train is free, you will need to buy a Metro Card for 5 USD when you get off.. You can reach Manhattan by taking the subway from Jamaica and taking the E train.
Inner City Transportation:
- Taxi: The most expensive transportation middleman. You can pay by credit card or cash. It is necessary to tip around 10% for taxis.
- Bus: A cheap means of transportation. We occasionally used. Cash, metrocard, tickets are accepted, provided they are broken.
- Metro: The 24-hour metro is a wonderful thing.. If you are going to stay in New York for 4-5 days and you are going to use the subway instead of walking everywhere, I recommend you to buy a Metrocard by paying 30 USD per person per week.. Otherwise, you have to pay 3 USD for each boarding.. And of course, the thing we prefer most on every trip is “Tabanvay”. You can explore a city best on foot. New York is perfect for this.
Accommodation: This is the hardest part of the job. Where we are the luckiest. Why is it troublesome? Because New York hotels are both incredibly expensive and incredibly deadly.. Let me give an example, to be more enlightening There is a suitcase hotel in NYC, friends.. There’s a gadget at the entrance to this Manhattan hotel that takes your luggage and puts it in a bunch of tiny little stacked lockers. Because the room is too small to even bring a suitcase!
If you want a hotel in central points in Manhattan, think of it as a minimum of 200 USD per night.. A different alternative could be Airbnb
. For example; The Upper East Side is Manhattan’s most luxurious area and our friends rented a beautiful house here for $600 for 4 nights. Why were we lucky? Because we stayed in the city of Secacus, in the state of New Jersey, which can be reached by a single bus to Manhattan, not in Manhattan, which is great for visiting but very bad for accommodation.. Huge love and thanks to my sister Gamze and my brother Reşat!

For a cheap trip there are alternatives. So, should I get the NY City Pass or New York Pass or not?
New York Pass, 9/11 Memorial Museum, American Museum of Natural History, Empire State Building, Madame
Tussauds , MOMA offers free admission to places such as Radio City Music Hall tour, Guggenheim Museum, Statue of Liberty, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Top of the Rock and no waiting in line.
I am listing the real prices of these museums and the must-see places one by one below.. you think accordingly. Decide the result for yourself, but we chose not to buy it even though everyone was shouting to buy it, we did everything despite this, we did not regret it at all.
The price changes depending on how many day tickets you buy.. Click to see current prices:
- Empire State Building: $32 – A must go. WONDERFUL VIEW! Watch Manhattan Skyline.
- American Museum Of Natural History: They say $25, but donations are accepted. We paid a total of $5.. Even more than 1 cent given by tourists.. Definitely worth a visit.
- The Metropolitan Museum Of Art: They say $25, but donations are accepted.. We paid $1 per person.. Definitely must go. Before you go, you can check out the must-see works by clicking here.
- Moma (The Museum Of Modern Art): 25$ – Free only on Fridays between 16:00-19:00, so there is a lot of queues.. – Definitely a must go.
- Top Of The Rock: $25 – If you’re going to the Empire, you don’t have to go here. Since the Empire is seen from the Rock, the view is magnificent here, but I think your priority should be the Empire while you are there.
- Guggenheim Museum: 22$
- Statue Of Liberty&Ellies Island: 17$ – I think there is no need to go. As I explained in detail in the Travel Guide section, you can see the Statue of Liberty with a free ferry.. Going to the island means waiting in line and what are you going to do
there you go. - Madame Tussauds: $39 – I don’t know if you’ve been to other countries, but Madame Tussauds in NYC was the most successful. We didn’t go because we didn’t have the event “Oh, we must go, we have to take pictures with wax statues of celebrities.” de Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour talk. If you want to tour the city with open-top and double-decker buses, get off at many stops and then get on again, you can buy it for a separate fee.. This is somewhat negotiable.. If you want, try your luck at the vendors in the city center, you can buy it online anyway.
Travel Guide: Manhattan consists of 3 regions. Uptown, Midtown and Downtown. I divide the places to visit according to the regions so that you can share according to how many days you will stay.. If you give at least 1 day to each of the 3 departments and you only travel without eating and drinking, you will have traveled blindly.. I think NYC can be visited in at least 5 days. It’s full pace. If you are going to enter the Woodberry shopping event that I will talk about later, you have to put in 1 day only for it.. We reserved 7 days for New York.
PART 1: Uptown
CENTRAL PARK: 5. Enter Central Park across the street from the Apple Store. Of course, before you enter, visit the Apple Store, which looks like a Glass Cube from the outside.. When you go down the stairs, you will see that hundreds of people are interested in Apple products.. This is the funfair of the technology world. The time we went, the iPhone 7 had just been released and a world of people were waiting outside to make a reservation.. When it’s your turn to make a reservation, the model & color you want may not be available.. What does it matter? The capitalist system will make you buy another model
Well, we’re in Central Park, sir, Oh my God! People live here guys. Runners, children, those who ate the lunch they brought home from work, those who rode bikes.. It is truly incredible to have such an area in the heart of Manhattan.. If you have time, spend your day there like a New Yorker.. Sleeping on the grass, observe.
Central Park has the Alice statue, the zoo, the ponds, the field with the Manhattan Buildings, and more. Traveling doesn’t end, but at least try to see what I’ve counted.. You can rent a bike and travel that way.
METROPOLITAN MUSEUM / MET: When you walk from Central Park to the Upper East Side of 5th Street, you will see the MET
. MET is an amazingly large museum. You can’t finish your weeks. For this reason, choose the area you want to visit the most.. Our preference was the Department of Africa & Oceania and the Department of Modern Arts.. While we were going in and out of these, we also visited other sections.. A lot of New Yorkers sit and have a drink on the steps of the Met.. It’s fun to do too. You can buy hotdogs from the hotdogs across the street.Metropolitan Museum – MET MCGEE’S PUB: We went to the cafe of How I Met Your Mother, and we learned that the producers were inspired by this bar, but actually the series was not shot here, it was shot in the studio.. We have a disappointment, a sadness. We sat down and gave ourselves a beer, what should we do?.
AMERICAN MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY: American Museum of Natural History: The museum where Ross worked on the Friends series. Everyone snatched up their child. Science flows from every corner. Full school trip location. Sea creatures, plants, animals, humans, space, big bang, the answers to all questions about the universe are in this museum.. I am not exaggerating, this was the museum that I could not get enough of with the most pleasure in my life.. We participated in a 3D movie about the phases of the universe, starting with BIG BANG until today.. The movie debut takes you on tour all the way in phases divided into years. Don’t miss it!
HARLEM TOUR: We did a tour by car. Check it out if you have time. Maybe you can even go to the show there one evening.. Harlem is now a safe zone. Those tales of old.
PART 2: Midtown
BRYANT PARK & NEW YORK PUBLIC LIBRARY: You can start your day by having your breakfast at Bryant Park on the day you will visit Midtown.. Hundreds of people practice yoga at the same time in this park on certain days.. At the bottom is the New York Public Library.. Actually, this New York Public Library exists everywhere, but this is the most famous and magnificent.. For this reason, you can enter and visit all places provided that it is silent.
New York Public Library GRAND CENTRAL STATION: As in every American movie, if there is a farewell, a sadness, a journey scene, it was shot here..
ROCKEFELLER CENTER: The imperial castle we know from 30 Rock TV series. The sparkling ice skating venue we see in the movies during Christmas time in winter is located right here.. It is surrounded by the flags of the whole world.. You find your own flag and take a photo.. So why did I have it taken under the Jamaican flag?
Rockefeller Center ST.PATRICKS CATHEDRAL & ATLAS STATUE
NBC STUDIO & RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL: Late Night with It is also the filming location of popular television shows such as David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.. There are tours to visit these, but I don’t think it’s necessary.
TIMES SQUARE: This was the first place we set foot on the night we landed in New York.. Both night and day. As if there could never be peace and quiet in these square meters. Lights, vibrant life is a very different square.
Times Square
Sit on the red stairs and enjoy Disney Stores and M&Ms. Queue up at the TKTS box office just below the stairs and chase cheap tickets to Broadway musicals. I have explained all the events you can attend in New York here.
MADAME TUSSAUDS: The museum where you can see the wax statues of celebrities. You will definitely see
while walking through the Times.MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
EMPIRE STATE: Make sure to go to Empire. But MUST! There are a few conditions but to make it perfect. The weather
will be clear, you will go around 5-6 o’clock and get in line so that you can see before sunset, do the sunset, watch the night lights and of course be in the front row while doing these. If you’re a little early, you can take advantage of the happy hour at the Heartland Brewery, located right at the entrance of the building, between 4 and 6 pm and round off 1-2 beers.IRON FLAT: The landmark building identified with New York. That’s the name because it looks like an iron.
CHELASEA MERKET & HIGH LINE:
Oh, this place is so beautiful a place! There are a lot of shops inside. You get the food you want from them as Take Away. You get your wine from somewhere. Then don’t get enough of the conversation in a corner. There is a place where seafood is also amazing.. Prawns, oysters, crabs await you. You are on the High Line when you exit Chelsea Market (whoever you ask and they will show you) and when you climb the stairs. This is a walkway on buildings.. Filled with flowers and landscaping. Lots of architecture students come here and draw all day.. Here you can take a walk and view New York from the top.Chelasea MUSEUM OF MODERN ART (MOMA): Museum of Modern Art : Van Gogh’s Starry Night (Starry Night) in the museum where modern art works are exhibited. nights) do not come without seeing.
GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM
Chapter 3: Downtown
WASHINGTON SQUARE PARK:
SOHO REGION:
CHINATOWN & LITTLE ITALY: When you pass Chinatown, you will enter a street and find yourself in Italy. Living, eating and drinking, Little Italy stretches across it.
FINANCE DISTRICT – WALL STREET – NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE: Stock Exchange & Famous Bull Statue
New York Stock Exchange – Wall Street ONE WORLD TRADE CENTER: World Trade Center: The building that was built to show the power of America instead of the Twin Towers destroyed on September 11. Piercing the skies. If you wish, you can go to the top with a reservation..
BATTERY PARK: You will be tired from the Wall Street tour, so this park is the perfect place to rest.
Battery Park STATEN ISLAND FERRY: Statue of Liberty: Staten Island is a bit Since it is far from the city center, the government has put a free ferry to encourage residence here.. I don’t think you need to take a tour and go to the island for the Statue of Liberty.. Take the ferry from the end of Battery Park, and when you land in Staten Island, get on the ferry again..
BROOKLYN BRIDGE: Connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn, completed in 1883, it is one of the 8th largest bridges in the world.. This magnificent gothic bridge, which is considered a wonder, is open for both cars and pedestrians.. So what does this mean? On this bridge, you can walk from Manhattan to Brookyln at sunset, hit the bottom of the view and take pictures.. The romance is flowing!
Here’s the story: When the decision was made to build a bridge to connect Brooklyn and Manhattan, the owner of the world’s largest cable manufacturing company, John A.. Roebling started working on the project. He had an accident and died while deciding where to set up.. His son, Washington Roebling, was appointed chief engineer on the project.. Bridge works started in 1870.. The “tragic” story of Brooklyn Bridge continued where it left off, and Washington Roebling was hit and bedridden during his work in underwater chambers.. It’s up to John’s daughter-in-law, Washington’s wife, Emily, to keep this project going.. Emily acted as an intermediary between her husband and the construction site, enabling her husband to manage the project.. The last 10 years of the bridge construction, which took 13 years in total, proceeded in this way and in 1883, the bridge was opened with a magnificent ceremony.. However, the fact that a total of 27 people died during the construction work gave rise to the rumor that the bridge was “unlucky”.. A herd of elephants was passed on this beautiful bridge, which emerged with a serious budget of 15 million dollars, and it was tried to instill confidence in the people and succeeded..
Metro: Manhattan Trains 4,5 and 6 – City Hall stop
Brookyln Bridge SHOPPING: WOODBURRY COMMON PREMIUM OUTLET :
New York It is 1 hour away from. You can take the bus from Port Authority, New York’s bus terminal.. Fee $40. The buses give you a coupon book and with these coupons you get extra discounts in the shops. People come here with suitcases and stuff them.. Since our TL has sunk to the bottom, it doesn’t make much sense when you multiply everything by 3. But some brands are really cheap. As the quality increases, you reach more reasonable price balances.. Plan as if you’re going to spend 1 day here.CENTURY 21: In the big discount store, discounted products of various brands are available together.. You can go to the one in Downtown.
MACY’S: Stores like our YKM. Especially if you are going to buy perfume, you can get it from MACY’S.
RECOMMENDED PLACES TO EAT:
– Bagel: Let’s say the famous bagel of the Americans. You should definitely try it.
– Cheesecake: You should definitely taste it at Magnolia Bakery, try other products as well.. Even now the moon is gone.
– Joint Burger: The most recommended for burgers.
– Morton’s Steakhouse: Those who want to eat steak.
– Junior’s Restaurant – Grand Central Terminal
– Soho Balthazar : It has a wonderful decoration. The food is good too. – Pasta Bistro Grill: In the Greenwich areaThey say that those who go to New York should not say that they went to America, because not all of America is New York. I think America is pretty much the land of dreams.. New York, on the other hand, is the city of mostly single people, where people live in a very serious hurry, where they aim to make a career by dedicating their 20s and 30s to a hard work tempo.. When they get married, people move to towns and cities near New York City, leaving especially Manhattan.. I mean, life in New York is very nice for tourists
but I don’t know if it’s livable. Instead of eating here and there at noon, like our white-collar life, people take food from their homes to work.. Because companies don’t eat it like that.. The only difference
the bag they take is Burberry What people wear doesn’t matter because it’s not a coincidence based on who has the money.. The first thing people ask when getting to know each other is “What are you doing?” = “Where do you work?” not! Even
this is shameful.. Because as it should be, we should not accept or judge each other according to our professions or titles.. In America it doesn’t matter. But when we look at it with a Turkish mind, we say, “Oh, even the construction worker has a Starbucks”.. We say yes.. If there is a thin-waisted tea glass in your country, there is filter coffee in a cardboard glass in this land.. Their normal is the showpieces that adorn our plaza lives..In short, Europe, Asia, these lands are different from any land I’ve ever seen.. Adventure-filled America, America!!!
