I’ve been to Budapest not once, three, five, but many more times, it’s easy to say. Four seasons, twelve months and many weeks. To understand this city, it is necessary to see it in all its forms.
Only those who want to visit Budapest can achieve this in one go.. What about living in Budapest?
What to do in Budapest?
I guess because of my laziness I couldn’t write my Budapest travel notes. Maybe there is so much to write that I haven’t put it together.. I will finish it eventually. But during this time, it was always on my mind to write something on behalf of Budapest in Görkemliyollar.. Destiny is today.
While giving you my travel suggestions in Budapest, what to do in Budapest? I will list it as so that you don’t ask how to implement this suggestion !
I don’t think I need to say that these suggestions are quite different from what you can find on the internet.. Budapest is not such an ordinary place for me, I sometimes say I shouldn’t be so possessive and praise it so much but you’re mine too!
Walking on the Danube / Budapest 2017 My Trip
Walk Lots in Budapest
First of all, it is necessary to explore this city on foot. You can’t live the city with subways and buses, it will be their turn, but first walk!
You came to Erszabet Ter, that square with a pool. Continue straight from József Attila Utca on the edge and come across the Danube and say hi.
We can’t have arrived in Budapest without seeing the Danube.. First you will feel it.
Exploring Budapest by Walking The city park just behind Heroes’ Square actually undertakes a different mission every season.
The pool at the entrance of the park is actually a pool only in summer! In winter, this is a ski slope. Especially on weekends, you can watch Budapest with its pleasant views.
This park sometimes turns into a fairground seasonally.. This is where most of the festivals held in the city are located.

Watch the Opera in Budapest
The golden rule of living Budapest. This city has performing arts in its culture. The most beautiful feature is that tourists do not go to these events.. In this way, you can feel like a person living there.
Budapest State Opera is one of the best in Europe in terms of acoustics! You can buy a game ticket just to see it.. And the prices are very affordable.

There are supermarkets all over the square.. Budapest is not expensive to live at all !

Take the Trolleybuses of Budapest
This city has cable buses! They are also very familiar.. These buses are “Ikarus”. The legendary buses of my childhood in Istanbul are still operating here, although not many are left anymore.
It is very pleasant to go to the back streets of the city with these buses.

Metro Get on for Free, But Don’t Get Off at Deak Ferenc
You’ll get on the 200E from the airport and switch to the metro in Köbanya.. All of you have in mind, should we not buy tickets?
It is up to you whether to buy a ticket in Budapest or not.. There are controls, but I rode a lot for free! Just don’t get off at Deak Ferenc. Because there is control at this station.
I haven’t come across any control other than this station.. Already here local people get free rides by the way.. Do you think they are all transportation cards !

Go to Budapest Market and Buy Ordinary Goods
There is no one who has not heard of Budapest’s market building. There is a great variety of products here.. But you should go for the local products below, not the local tourist stuff upstairs!
The easiest way to mingle with the locals is to shop and bargain a little here.. Not knowing a little Hungarian, “Mennyi penzt ?”

Read a Book to the Fisherman’s Bastion
The Buda Castle The Fisherman’s Bastion right next to it! They always come here to learn its history and take pictures. However, this is the most enjoyable place in my city where I find myself reading a book.
I usually read poetry, you know I love it, my choice was Özdemir Asaf that day. This city couldn’t tell me not to go! But I should have stayed…

Visit Budapest in Winter
Why does everyone come to this city in summer? Those who live the winter in Budapest will fall in love with this city again and again.. It is a fact that the snow cover gives this city a different atmosphere.
There are even those who try to ice skate in the middle of the street and use it as a means of transportation!
Tourists are also decreasing in winter, the whole city is yours. We don’t dream of seeing a Turkish-speaking person at every corner, right?
