Milan; Located in the Lombardy region of Italy, the country’s most populous city after Rome. Of course, the developed industry has a big share in this, as you know, it is among the richest in Italy.. Milan, which is of considerable importance thanks to world-famous design and fashion brands, stands out with its modern face in Italy, where the Renaissance is felt in every corner.. Architectural wonders and historical details are not waiting for you in this city, but its beautiful streets, squares and location adjacent to the Lake District are the harbingers of hours to enjoy.
When I share Milan articles and photos , I get the question how to get around Milan on most business trips. If your way is for business, this is your transit city before your long trip, and if you have 24 hours, let’s see what to do and where to visit in one of my favorite cities.
Milan Places to Visit in 1 Day List
08:30
A good breakfast is needed before the supersonic Milan tour; And of course, Italian coffee! My first suggestion for this is the Princi bakery in Via Torino because of its proximity to our next stop and its delicious alternatives.. Less seating; but there is everything from brioche (puffy croissant) to all kinds of pizzas, from traditional pastries to marmalade tarts.. Although the other is a little far from this point, Pavé is one of the best new generation coffee shops in the city.. Their coffee is really delicious, and their croissants are one of the best I’ve ever eaten in the world.. A little suggestion about coffee; Don’t forget to drink your Cappuccino before 12 o’clock! well; because acting locally requires drinking Cappucino before noon! Between these two alternatives, I do not think that you will exceed 10 Euros per person in Princi, even if you buy stuffed pastries, I am sure you will pay less.. Since Pavé is a concept coffee shop, its prices are slightly higher, the choice is yours according to the budget..
Princi Address: Via Speronari, 6
Pavé Address: Via Felice Casati, 27

If we’ve solved the breakfast thing, the destination is Duomo Square! Home to one of the most magnificent cathedral examples of Gothic architecture, the square is also the center of the city.. Duomo of Milan; It is always crowded, so those who like to take pictures should definitely come early.. After watching the colorful stained glass interior architecture of the unique building, which is worked with white marble, you can feed the birds that fly around and then go out to the terrace.
To get to the terrace is 13 euros by elevator, 9 euros on foot. Being able to see the square from a bird’s eye view means about 350 steps. When you take the elevator, you are already walking another 80 steps; There is no need to be so tired for a difference of 4 Euros.. This event should definitely be on your list, the view of Milan really deserves it!
11:30
When you come down from the terrace, you will see the Museo del Novecento on the left side of the cathedral. This is Milan’s 20. century art museum. Its main collection includes works by artists such as Kandinsky, Warhol, Mondrian, Picasso and Lichtenstein; It also hosts temporary exhibitions from other cities of the world.. Those interested in modern and contemporary art can visit Novecento.. Entrance is 10 Euros.
Those who want to bypass the museum can swing through the shopping streets by walking towards San Babila from the point where they get off the terrace.. From the Duomo line, you will see the stores of famous Italian and global brands, those who want to see most of them together can take a look at La Rinascente.. La Rinascente, a multi-storey department store, is indeed a quick solution.. If you want to have lunch in this area, I can recommend Obika on the terrace of Rinascente or Terrazza Aperol right next to it.. You can enjoy your pasta or risotto accompanied by an Italian classic, Spritz Aperol, in Aperol’s restaurant with Duomo view.. However; I think such a fast tour should continue with street flavors.. There’s still an aperitivo to this evening!
Obika Address: Via Santa Radegonda, 1
Terrazza Aperol Address: Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, 1. Kat
13:30
If we’ve completed our museum and shopping tour, we’re starting to get a little hungry, but first, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II’ one of Milan’s leading tourist spots. we will go to. Located in the Duomo Square, just to the left of the cathedral, this magnificent building is considered one of the first shopping centers in the world.. Although it now includes the most luxurious brands and the most luxurious restaurants in Italy, its splendor is always the same.. My personal favorites at the Galleria are Borsolino, the hat designer, Rizzoli, the most amazing bookstore, and Savini, the fine-dining restaurant for traditional flavors.
After touring the Galleria, I invite you to Spontini, one of the most delicious pizza bars in the country, without falling into the tourist traps.. A few steps away, Spontini is considered the star of the city and the place where the best pizzas are made.. In Spontini, where only 3 types of pizza are available, you can buy a big slice of pizza and a glass of Moretti beer for 3.5 Euros.. If you say you don’t drink alcohol, it means the meal is defrosted for 3 Euros.. You should definitely try it. The address after Spontini; Cioccolatitaliani, where the most delicious ice creams of the city are served. Buying an ice cream cone for 3 times the meal will upset you a little, but the show part is something else.. This place deserves this price in terms of presentation and taste.
Spontini Address: Via Santa Redegonda, 11
Cioccolatitaliani Address: Via S. Raffaele, 4

Yes, next is Brera, one of Milan’s most bohemian areas. We will spend approximately 1.5 hours in Brera, the backyard of fine arts, the address of the hottest cafes, the neighborhood of design boutiques and beautiful streets.. Our first job is to visit the gallery of Brera, one of the best fine arts academies in the world.. Pinacoteca di Brera; It exhibits the works of leading Italian artists from Raphael to Bellini, Hayez to Caravaggio. At the exit of the gallery, you can have an Espresso at Bar Brera, after a little rest, you can explore the side streets and mingle with the street artists.. Brera’s favorite street, Via Madonnina, makes butterflies fly in your stomach with its pastel colors.. If you drop your way this way; When you go to the beginning of the street, you can also see the Church of Santa Maria del Carmine.
An alternative plan for those who do not want to visit the Pinacoteca may be Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga, which are the center of luxury shopping in the city.. Even if you are not going to shop, the colors of the streets and the beauty of the houses will appeal to your eyes.

After jet-like Brera tour, we are now on our way back to Duomo Square. Now that we’ve burned calories, we can taste another Milan classic. Our address; panzerotto’s central Luini bakery. Now, as a Turk, let me compare; They call it ‘panzerotto’ if we put mozzarella, tomato, spinach or bacon in our pastry. It’s really delicious, Luini definitely knows the business. You can get one for 2.70 Euros, bon appetit!
Luini Address: Via Santa Radegonda, 16

After Luini, we arrive at the Duomo Square and enter the opposite street and walk towards Corso di Porta Ticinese via Via Torino.. Via Torino, one of the city’s ‘economic’ shopping streets. Follow it straight and you arrive at Colonne di San Lorenzo. Kolonlar Square, one of Milan’s socializing points, is the place where those who take their drinks from the take-away bars around and cheer up their night.. It gets very crowded in the evenings, it’s really pleasant to sit here. Porta Ticinese, which you arrive at before arriving in Kolonlar, is the street where second-hand shops and shoemakers are located.. By the way, if you want to eat pizza, you can choose Pizzeria del Ticinese on this road.
Pizzeria del Ticinese Address: Corso di Porta Ticinese, 65
18:00
After passing the Columns, we reach the Medieval Ticinese Gate. From here, we will cross the lights and arrive at the Navigli region with the canals to perform the ‘aperitivo’, a classic in Northern Italy.. This is where the canals created for Milan, which do not have a direct connection to the river, are located.. The two channels you will visit are called Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese.. The combination of the two is called Navigli. Navigli, one of my favorite places in Milan, is always lively, always full of locals, and a little bit romantic.. In Navigli, where artists usually sit and design shops, many places lined up next to the canal look colorful even from afar.. I’ve been saying ‘aperitivo’ since the beginning of the article; Let’s talk a little bit about this concept.
Aperitivo A socializing classic for Milanese. Before dinner, after school and work, locals meet in bars to relieve the stress of the day with a pleasant conversation.. Most of the bars offer aperitivo service between 6 and 9, and you can come during this time and get unlimited snacks from the open buffet for a cocktail fee.. Buffet richness is variable everywhere; however, bars that have made their reputation like this must be experienced.. I can recommend Mag Cafe, Rita & Cocktails and Spanish bar Mas around Navigli; While you’re at it, you can taste Milan’s famous cocktails, Aperol Spritz or Negroni.. Let me also mention that the prices of aperitivo vary between 7-15 Euros.
Mag Cafe Address: Ripa di Porta Ticinese, 43
Rita & Cocktails Address: Via Angelo Fumagalli, 1
Mas Address: Ripa di Porta Ticinese, 11
After 20:30…
After aperitivo, if you have a walk in Naviglio and still have energy, Porta From Genova stop, you can take the metro to Corso Como.. Corso Como, which you can reach in a few steps from the Porta Garibaldi stop, is the street of Milan’s stylish shops, restaurants and bars.. Another beauty of this place is the concept store of Carla Sozzani, the immortal editorial director of Vogue Italy, 10 Corso Como.. A section of the store, which offers products different from each other in fashion, music and design themes, hosts a wonderful restaurant and bar.. What could be better than closing the fast-paced day at the bar of 10 Corso Como?
