When to Go to Igneada?
Igneada is a good place to travel in all seasons, relax and be alone with nature.. Therefore, the answer to the question of when to go is 12 months.. Whether you go in winter; Walk in the forests of Longoz and take an ATV tour, which we did and had a lot of fun; Come in summer if you want, enjoy the sea. But it has to be said that Igneada gets very crowded in summer, especially on weekends, due to the high number of daily visitors.. It is already a small village square, it has a limited number of restaurants.. Summer is not suitable for those who want to relax.
Where to Stay in Igneada?
Our way had fallen to Igneada at the end of April.. The weather was neither very hot nor very cold.. Since we didn’t want a pool or sea, İğneada Parlak Resort met our needs wonderfully.. It was very close to the square, clean, affordable, and it surprised us with its delicious and delicious breakfast.
What to do in Igneada?
Two things I would definitely recommend you to do while you’re here. A tour in the forests of Longoz and canoeing in Mert Lake. I recommend you to travel with a guide in the forests of Longoz, they know the most beautiful tour route.. We went on a tour with the tour fee of 20 TL per person, accompanied by the attendant of the hotel we stayed in, and our route was very beautiful.. This tour took about 3 hours. The Longoz Forests are so beautiful that you can see the fallen trees leaning against each other.. No trees are cut down in this forest. You can go to a certain place by car.. You risk sinking afterwards. Therefore, proceed slowly but surely through the forest.
Taking advantage of the rain after the Longoz forests tour, we took the ATV tour this time with the reservation we made from Igneada Resort & Spa.. You are wearing uniforms and leaving with an attendant from the hotel for the ATV. It protects and watches over you as a guide in that direction.. It comes out when it goes down. Luckily we were the only ones. The guide also allowed us to go a little faster.. In summary, these atvs are not like rintintin in Kartepe.. you can speed up. We got on 180 TL for 1 hour on a single ATV for 2 people.. We don’t regret any minute of it, we had so much fun. We entered the mud, got out; we’re officially sunk. If you are coming with the intention of riding an ATV, come with a spare up to your shoes.. When we got back to the room, we tried quite a bit to clean the mud..
The next day, we once again made a canoe in Lake Mert with the reservation we made from Iğneada Resort & Spa. For the canoe tour in Igneada, the weather is important and whether the pelicans are there.. Sometimes it is not allowed, so as not to disturb and disturb their order.. Do not leave it to the last moment for the canoe tour to find it somehow.. When groups arrive, they can throw you last.. A group of students was also canoeing with us, and those who came to find it somehow waited for hours.. It’s good to be cautious. There was no time limit on the canoe tour and we completed the tour for 30 TL.
Is it possible to go to the sea in Igneada?
When it comes to the Black Sea, one cannot help but ask this question.. However, to give a clear answer; Thanks to its shallow sea, you can safely swim in Igneada.. It’s even fun. Of course, this is not true for every day, some days the Black Sea shows its fierce face and you are afraid to put your feet into the sea, let alone enter the sea.
Longos Beach, which starts from the point where Mert Lake meets the sea, and stretches for 15 km. > It is one of the best places to swim in Igneada. Begendik Village Beach and Liman Ardı Beach are among the other Igneada beaches you can choose.
Places to Visit in Igneada
1- Begendik Village
As a matter of fact, the only feature of the village is that it is on the Bulgarian border, there is nothing to see other than that.. If you’re going to go to the sea, the beach is wide. Apart from that, there is the place of Sabri Usta, known for a tin chicken.
2- Limanköy
A place where you can go and take your tea in your thermos. The French Lighthouse is located in this village. It’s usually not too crowded, you can sit and enjoy the view.
3- Dupnisa Cave
Because it is about 50 km from Iğneada, you can consider stopping by Dupnisa Cave either on your way or on your way back.. The cave where you can see stalactites and stalagmites is quite long and cool, be sure to bring a cardigan and shoes suitable for walking.. The descent is easy, but you may experience a little regret on the ascent.. Also, the road is a bit uneven, but despite everything Dupnisa Cave is definitely a place worth seeing.
What to Eat in Iğneada?
Iğneada’ We do not have an enthusiastic answer to the question of what to eat, we can even say that places to eat are quite limited.. Let’s go over where to eat in order not to go hungry in Igneada.. We went to Dobrodosli Rumeli Köftecisi in the square towards the beach, we can say that it is the most famous restaurant of Igneada.. However, the meatballs were greasy, and they poured sunflower oil, not olive oil, into the salad they brought out.. One of the critical points for us. Ecem ate chicken, but it was also sauced and oily. But this is one of the busiest Igneada restaurants in the square.. I guess ours was unlucky..
In the evening, we went to the Liman Restaurant, located above the fisherman’s pier, with the aim of eating fish.. Calamari was very fresh, salad and fish were also good.. We recommend going here by car.. The road is not suitable for walking at night. If you do not have a reservation, it may be difficult to sit by the window, but the place is spacious.. We paid around 150 TL for a double raki, a glass of wine, squid and a sea bass.. We can’t say that it was a very good meal, but we can say that it is one of the best options among Places to eat in Iğneada.
Iğneada Camping Sites
Longoz Forests are immaculate. a great place for Camping in Igneada, thanks to the weather. Therefore, you can easily find a place that suits your wishes.. If you are looking for natural places to camp for free, there are suitable places close to the beach or in the forest.. If you want a facility, there are also quite a lot of paid camping areas with services such as electricity / water.. There are even Glamping Hotels opened in recent years for those who say they are self-indulgent.
We stayed at the hotel when we first came to Igneada, but after seeing the Longoz Forests, we always dreamed of camping there.. Years later, when we decided to buy a tent and camp, our route was İğneada and we made our first camp in İğneada.
If you are looking for a place close to the sea, Çapulcu Mehmet Dede’nin Yeri can be preferred.. However, the facility needs some maintenance and we cannot say that it is very good in cleaning.. If you don’t have a business with the sea, SisliVadi İğneada is a camping area you can choose with its small pond and its location among the trees.. The reason for our recommendation is not that SisliVadi is a very good campground, but that the standards in our country are very low.. In fact, when you look at it, it is a place in the forest, with a small pond in the middle, and an area around which only a few bungalows are built, that is, it does not have the characteristics of a camping area.. There is no shade for the tents and the ground is unsuitable in most places. As a camper it’s even worse, even the only thing the business knows about the camper is different fees. Yes, when you come with a caravan or a tent, a fee is much higher than the price of the tent, but there is no different service provided.. Neither an electrical panel, nor a fountain where you can get clean water, nor a black water drain, nor a gray water pouring area; In short, nothing. By the way, let’s say that we spent the worst camp of our lives here.. We went with the idea of staying 3 nights in a camp and they took a group of 30-40 people.. This band brought loudspeakers you know, and they played blaring music from 9 am to 4 am.. The manager was neither in the kebab mode nor in the kebab mode, this did not silence the friends.. While we came to Igneada to camp and rest,. We escaped one day, saying let’s go home and have a rest.
As for Iğneada Glamping Facilities, Longosphere has been making a name for itself in recent years.. Since we mostly camped in our own tent, we did not go to Longosphere, but we can say that it is a facility that combines nature and luxury.
In general, for İğneada campsites; There is absolutely no camping area worthy of such a natural beauty.. While Igneada has a potential that people from all over Turkey and even from other countries can come to camp, they cannot use it.. Unfortunately, it has remained a place where campers come only from Istanbul and nearby provinces.

We have explained in detail above, but we would like to warn you again so that you do not go to Igneada and regret it.. If you don’t like being in Nature, don’t go to Igneada, or if you do, at least listen to you and don’t say you regret it.. Because going to Igneada; it rained a lot, we got soaked, we couldn’t enter the muddy forests, our car sank into the mud, we became disgraced, a herd of pigs came to our tent, it was windy, we were cold, etc.. These are all things that nature brings, so if you like being in nature, we say go to İğneada.
