It takes an expert to answer these questions clearly, but I thought I’d share my observations based on the questions.
1- What can I bring from abroad and sell in Turkey?
I try to try all the traditional dishes of the countries I’m in.. Mexico is the first place that comes to my mind when it comes to food and drink.. Since we are a nation that loves hot sauces, our taste buds are very close to each other.. The first thing I can suggest about this is Mexico’s Rusa drink in the link. It can be made with or without alcohol.. A perfect summer drink. I think it is one of the most logical things to bring from abroad and keep in Turkey.. I say add it to your list. Other than that, I can’t say that this meal or that drink will cost in Turkey.
What can we bring from outside and sell? Wherever I go in the world, it’s full of Chinese-made products.. When I think about buying something local and what to sell in Turkey, the first thing that comes to my mind is handcrafted bags, wallets, authentic clothes, sweaters made by Maya Indians in Mexico and Guatemala.. Likewise, it is possible to find similar things in Peru and Bolivia.. The products are very high quality and so cheap.. And these products I mentioned have no equal in Turkey.
My prediction is as follows; You will open a boutique store. After you adapt everything to the procedure, you will collect authentic handmade bags, clothes, shawls, souvenirs from these countries and bring them to Turkey.. When I say you will collect and bring it, I am not talking about putting it in your suitcase and bringing it, you will do your business quite a lot. I’m not exaggerating, you can buy for one and sell for five.
2- What Kinds of Art-related Items Can I Bring From Abroad?
Thailand as an Art-related Person I saw such legendary pencil and oil paint works in , when you look at it, you say it’s very good.. Likewise, it is possible to see similar things in Cambodia.. In addition to these, you are likely to find wood carvings and very delicate figures.. If these works I mentioned were in Europe, I’m not exaggerating the prices, they would be 10 times more.
If you have an art gallery or want to open a place for this type of works, in Thailand and Cambodia there is enough material to last you for years. Especially if you intend to open a boutique store that I mentioned above, definitely add this type of art to your product list.. Likewise, you have a five-to-one chance of winning.
3- I want to open a place abroad, what would you suggest?
A heavy question I’ll share my views though.. It is possible to see an Istanbul Kebab in almost every country.. In fact, some restaurant owners are not even Turkish, they just make money by using the name and our food.. So the kebab restaurant will most likely hold.. When I asked the foreigners I met on my travels what do you know about Turkey, almost all of them know Turkish Kebab.. When I ask how do you know, he says we have a restaurant there.. Both New Zealanders and Peruvians say this.
Another thing that can be taken abroad is Maraş ice cream. I have eaten ice cream almost everywhere, but believe me, the taste of our Maraş ice cream is different.. I believe that this ice cream will be amazing especially in hot Asian countries.. I’ve only seen Maraş ice cream on a small island in Taiwan.. Our brother went there from Turkey and opened a small shop.. working alone. I’m not exaggerating in front of the counter, 30-40 people are waiting in line and this is the case almost every day.
If you’re thinking about Maraş ice cream, add the fruity yogurt thing to it.. Again, in these Asian countries, especially women eat yoghurt with fruit like crazy.. I don’t think it’s possible when you open the shop in a “coffee shop” format in a suitable place.. Especially if you bring one of those chubby uncles with a moustache and a moustache, who make tourists misshapen while giving them ice cream, it is possible to become the king of ice creams. Can We Buy and Sell Things?
I don’t think this will hold up.
5- How about the Jewelery Business?
strong>
I have never seen our gold and silver work abroad.. we are really good at this. I don’t know how to trade in precious goods, but if you are in this sector, the works of our artists can definitely be kept abroad and should be evaluated.
6- How About Textile Business?
There are many people who bring textiles from Turkey to countries such as Russia, Moldova and Ukraine.. As far as I understand, there are so many people doing this job that I have met 5-6 different people on the plane or in those countries.. So the textile business can work, but I see it as risky because there are many people doing it.
7- What Alternative Can Be Done Abroad?
Thailand, Philippines You can buy flats in Moldova, Ukraine and Russia and rent them to foreigners who will come to the country on a daily or monthly basis.. Although the procedure for selling property to foreigners is different in each country, I met many Turks who do this business.. I saw that it started with a flat at first, then bought 4-5 flats and even bought a villa and rented it.. I also rented a house myself in Ukraine and Moldova.. There’s more money in this business than you’d expect.. House prices are not as high as in Turkey.
Well, if you say we bought the house, how are we going to rent it, the easiest way is to start renting your house from airbnb.com.. In this way, you reach not only Turks but also foreigners from all over the world who will come to that country.. Afterwards, you can open a web page and introduce the house and give detailed information.. In addition to these, you can even open a rental ad on sahibinden.com. It is possible to multiply such marketing examples.
It is a heavy subject. The end of doing business abroad is very open. If it is talked about, the subject will go on until the morning.
On the other hand, this article may be of interest to those who want to work abroad.
