While we were on our way to Cunda, we had the idea that an island in the Aegean Sea could be swam anywhere.. That’s why we didn’t even feel the need to research the beaches.. However, when we went, we saw that this is not the real thing.. Especially in the area where the settlement is located, there is no suitable place for swimming.. Of course, this does not mean that there is no good place to swim, because when you go outside the settlement, you can find very beautiful Cunda Beaches, the only downside is that you have to go by car.. In order to find the best, we visited all the places to swim in Cunda and brought together the most beautiful Cunda beaches for you.. Before Cunda beaches, you can check our Cunda travel guide for more detailed information about Cunda Island, and Cunda accommodation notes for accommodation alternatives.
Ortunç Bay
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that our favorite is Ortunc Bay, and the thing we love most about Cunda Island is Ortunç Bay.. In the part of the nature park, the beach part is very small and stony, but the most beautiful thing here is that the back of it is completely forest, so you are sitting in the shade of the trees, not on the beach.. The sea is clean but a little cold, let’s admit it, quite cold. You get used to it when you enter, the tactic does not break here. Definitely have your sea shoes with you; the beach part and the first 3-4 meters of the sea are sandy after stony. You can use this beach for free by using the nature park, but it is very difficult to spend the whole day here as there are no facilities, toilets etc.. Don’t worry, there are paid facilities right next to it, we are sharing them below.
Ada Camping
A facility that serves daily visitors as well as being a camping area Ada Camping entrance fee is 65 TL. The sandy beach is nice, it also offers sunbeds, umbrellas, toilets and similar facilities.. The price is a little high, and the prices of its restaurant are also quite high.
Mocamp
The prices at Mocamp, located next to Ada Camping, are a little more affordable, per person. 50 TL. You can read in different sources that there is a pool and water slides inside, there used to be, but now there is no water slide and pool.
Ortunç Beach
Ortunç Hotel also serves as a beach for daily visitors, but it is definitely a place to visit. not a place. Yes, the hotel is very nice; it is calm, the beach is clean and the service quality is high, but daily visitors cannot fully experience it.. They take very few people anyway and there’s no guarantee you’ll get in, plus the prices are way too high. The entrance fee per person is 200 TL, yes you heard it right 200 or even two hundred Turkish Liras in writing. They are waiting for the hotel customers to finish their breakfast and you can log in at 12.. They don’t take reservations and decide at the door whether to let you in. You may be thinking that we are entering a nightclub, and you are not wrong about this.. I’m telling you, but you pay 200 TL and you are treated like a second class person.. That’s why we say, don’t think of Ortunç hotel for daily use, if you have 200 TL for 4-5 hours of use, pay a little more and stay here
Patrica Bay (Pateriça Beach)
Cunda When we came to , the first place we went was Ortunç Bay and we liked it very much, then we wanted to explore the highly praised Patriça bay.. However, we can say that it was a disappointment for us; once too far from the center and the road is very bad. Of course, these are not a problem for a beautiful beach, but unfortunately the sea did not satisfy us either.. In Patriça Bay, the sea is so shallow and still that you feel as if you have entered a lake rather than a sea, we walked because it would deepen in the future, but the water was not even above our knees so we got tired of walking and came back.. The beach of the free beach is very narrow, there are those who rent umbrellas here and they want 50 TL for a small umbrella, they are officially flying. We can say that Patrica Bay is not suitable for those who want to swim, but rather for those who like beach events.. If you are thinking of going to the beach and having fun, you can choose the beaches below in Patriça Bay.
When you come to Bıyıklı Beach
Patrica Bay Bıyıklı Beach, one of the first businesses you come across, is a business that looks good from the outside.. Bıyıklı Beach entrance fee is 75 TL per person, beach use is 25 TL, and the remaining 50 TL is like a loan.. You can use your credit for your indoor eating and drinking expenses.. Lodges have been built into the sea, and the sea is still and shallow; When all these come together, a murky and dirty sea emerges.. It gets worse especially on crowded days.. Other than that, it’s nice that there’s no music playing.. In short, if it is not important to go to the sea, if you want to relax a little, you can choose. It is also important that you make a reservation and secure your place, you do not want to come back before you come that way and get inside.. There is also a free round-trip shuttle service from Cunda centre, but definitely inquire before you go.. Because they can change the hours.
Minas Beach
Almost everything is with Biyikli Beach except the price of Minas Beach, which is next to Bıyıklı Beach. same; lodges in the middle of the sea, a crowded and polluted sea. The beach is very narrow but there is a grassy area at the back and shade, this part is a bit more pleasant. Minas Beach entrance fee is 30 TL per person, the price of the lodge is 150 TL. You can use the free shuttle service from Cunda center.
Mola Beach
After Minas Beach comes Mola Beach. It’s a place that looks a bit higher quality than the others, except that everything else is the same, of course the price is different; entry fee is 100 TL per person, 50 TL of which is credit that you can use for food and beverage. An interesting situation about Mola Beach is this; While we were planning, there were those who said 100 TL for the entrance fee, 120 TL, and even 150 TL and 200 TL.. As we can see from here, there is no fixed price policy.. Actually, it has another name, but anyway, this is not the place..
Sobe Beach Cunda
This is Patriça 2. located in the village. Where Bıyıklı Beach and Minas Beach are located 1. village and the road gets worse when you pass this village. It’s not a very long road even though it was scary at first. Sobe Beach is a different place from the usual beach culture, the thing here is more silence. You already feel the silence and calmness even when you come to the parking lot.. No music is played here and no children under the age of 12 are allowed in.. Sobe Beach entrance fee is 75 TL.. No, it’s not a lodge, it’s an entrance fee.. yes yes per person.. no there is nothing to eat and drink inside. It is important to make a reservation before you go, but this does not mean that your place is guaranteed, so if you think that you can make a reservation a week in advance and sit in a nice place, forget about it.. They may throw you into a remote corner by saying that we do not guarantee a place even though you have made a reservation.. Then we will be glad if you do not ask why we are making a reservation, we do not like questions that we do not know the answer to..
Çataltepe Beach
It is really hard to say anything about Çataltepe Beach , which is located on the road to Patriça Bay but much closer to the centre, how it will turn out is entirely up to your luck. left. If you ask those who go here anyway, no one would say it was good or something; either he says it was great, we died, or he says it was a disgrace, we regret it. If it is not crowded and the weather is calm, it is very beautiful;. What shall we do, shall we go or shall we not go? If you say so, we say go if you trust your luck or stop by in the morning because it is close to the center, if you don’t like it, go elsewhere.. You can use your own umbrella or if you don’t have one, you can rent 2 sun loungers and 1 umbrella for 40 TL.. There is a shower machine, you can throw 1 TL and take a shower, hurry up, you have 1 minute or prepare 1 more TL..
Cunda Public Beach – Duba Beach
Duba Beach is on the road between Ayvalık and Cunda Island. It is a sandy beach, but the beginning part is stony, you can reach the sandy area after passing the 3-4 meter stony part while entering the sea.. Since its front is open, the water is very clean, but it can be very wavy in windy weather.. It is also known as Cunda Belediye Beach or Cunda Public Beach because the municipality operates this place.. It is very close to the center and it is a great advantage to be able to reach by minibus.. It also has free parking if you’re going by car.. At Duba Beach, the price of 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella is 20 TL, of course it’s hard to find. Because it’s usually crowded. The main attraction here is the other prices in the business; for example tea 2 TL, Turkish coffee 3.5 TL and toilet free. We can say that prices cannot be compared with other places in Cunda.. What we didn’t like here was that it was a place on the side of the road.
