Dozens of things can come to mind when you think of Barcelona.. You can make a long list of entertainment, narrow streets to admire their beauty, Picasso, Messi, Gaudi, Joan Miro. However, after another visit to the city in the last few weeks, the most striking point that Barcelona managed to “imprint” on my mind is how much the economic crisis can affect a country/city.. This is the first time in my life that I am faced with such a concrete example, I think it has permanently changed the whole image of Barcelona in my eyes.. Yes, getting lost in its streets is amazing, yes you can see dozens of places to admire, yes you can have fun on the streets in summer, but when you see the homeless, beggars and hundreds of people who you can easily understand are having difficulties, your perspective changes a little bit.. Although this became frustrating until I was robbed on my last day in the city, when I got back I found myself feeling sorry for people’s plight, not having my money stolen. When we asked our friend, “What the fuck is going on”, he explained the situation they were in as follows: “First of all, it is worth emphasizing that we are not Spanish, we are Catalan.. We are also quite uncomfortable that the world recognizes us as Spanish.. But don’t get me wrong, our problem is not with the Spanish people, but with the Spanish government.. Because although we are the ones who contribute the most to them, we are the ones who get the least returns.. People live in poverty, and I think there is no solution to this matter except we leave Spain.” It was quite interesting to hear. If you go, you will find this whole situation very strange and you will realize it.. Because you will see warnings like “Be careful, theft zone” everywhere, from Starbucks to the most famous restaurants or streets.. When you sit at a table outside, at least 3 beggars will come to you within 1 hour and the people you talk to will make you paranoid by constantly warning you to “watch your bag, your phone.” We can switch to. These are for your own good.. long live world peace. Here is our Barcelona Travel Guide!
* On another Barcelona trip we made in April 2017, we made some changes to the Barcelona Travel Guide and added the following accommodation, budget, transportation we updated most of the topics like.
*If you want to go beyond the classic Barcelona tour and discover more alternative places in Barcelona, we welcome you to our Alternative Barcelona Travel Guide! We also have a guide to Barcelona’s best coffee shops here, let’s do it again..
When to go to Barcelona?
strong>
Barcelona’s air and water look like us. Therefore, if our subject is not to be cold, to get lost in the streets in humane conditions, without being closed to public transport, you can determine the months when you can do this by considering the weather conditions in the western part of Turkey.. Still, if we get to the bottom of the details on the subject;
Spring/Autumn: There are several advantages and disadvantages of going to Barcelona in the spring semesters.. If you have a cultural-oriented trip to get to know the city instead of swimming and sunbathing, we think these are the ideal times to go.. On the other hand, if you make it coincide with September, you can even get the chance to swim in the sea and wander around in a more humane temperature.. The possibility of the sea for May may be a little low in general, but if you are someone who likes to run to the cold seas when the weather condition sees 20 degrees, you can consider swimming in May as well.
Summer: Going to Barcelona in the summer = Sea , beach, sand trio plus entertainment in various parts of the city until the morning. Of course, you can also do a touristic exploration in the city, but since you will have to do it at a temperature of 28-30 degrees, you are likely to be overwhelmed.. On the other hand, you should also consider the possibility of spending time with tourists rather than locals, as it is a city with an influx of tourists in summer.
Winter: Going to Barcelona in winter means a trip where the number of tourists is minimal, at 12-15 degrees, and if you are prepared for the possibility of rain, you can survive without freezing.. At the same time, when you consider the queues that take 1-2 hours at very touristic spots such as the Sagrada Familia, it is also pleasing to know that you will be exposed to them at a minimum level.. For example, we made one trip in January and the other at the end of March.. We can say that we rarely got cold during our trip in January.. The trip we took in March was a trip where we were between being overwhelmed by the heat in places and being cold in the evenings.. The temperature during the day was the ideal temperature for city exploration, but in the evenings it can be cold so you can get into a mess of clothes.. It is useful to bring clothes suitable for both weather conditions.. In our opinion, the worst part of going in winter is that you will miss the more fun nightlife and active days of Barcelona’s daily sunshine periods, rather than the weather conditions.. Still, it’s definitely not a bad choice to visit in winter.
What to Wear in Barcelona?
What to wear in Barcelona, of course, when you go to the city directly linked to. The city’s subway system is well developed, so you don’t have to walk until your feet break, depending on your preference.. (which, in our opinion, is the best thing to sacrifice the feet to see the narrow and cute streets, which are the most beautiful part of the city).. If you aim to walk a lot, be sure to take something comfortable with you while walking.
If you are going in winter, you should be prepared for sudden rains.. But don’t worry, as we mentioned above, we are not talking about a freezing cold that will require you to walk around in woolen sweaters.. In fact, since it is one of the warmest places you can go in Europe in winter, it is very likely an average coat, etc.. It’s enough to get. Of course, check the weather before you go anyway, then we are not responsible if you get sick. For the summer, wear shorts, t-shirts, bikinis.. Preparing a suitcase for the moon lava summer vacation.
Barcelona Budget and Transportation in Barcelona
All the things we wrote above Our sneaky readers, who focus directly on the budget without reading everything, we condemn you and we have prepared words for you.. Are we writing in vain, if you read that much article. Anyway OK. If you’re wondering if Barcelona is an expensive city, it’s hard to say anything clear about it.. Because it depends on what period you go and where you spend time.. It is hardly possible to say that touristic places are “cheap”. We will also talk about the entrance fees of the touristic places you can visit below.. However, in general, Barcelona is a city that is neither as cheap as Belgrade nor as expensive as Paris/London.. We are sure that there will be those who say, “Are you crazy, Barcelona is very expensive”, but we think it depends on which part of the city you spend time in.. If you go and drink beer in the cafes in the middle of La Rambla, which are always full because of the touristy place, you can pay 6-7 Euros for 1 beer, you can sit in a local place and drink a beer for 1.5 Euros.. Considering our last trip to Barcelona, to give a few examples of our spending there;
3. Coffee (latte etc.): 1.5 – 2.5 Euros
Beer: 2 – 4 Euros
Cocktails at a popular restaurant/bar: 7 – 10 Euros
Pasta, etc. at a popular restaurant. Meal: 9 – 12 Euros
1 Tapas in a popular restaurant: 4 – 7 Euros (we are not talking about shabby places where you can eat on foot, prices may be lower there)
1 glass of wine: 3 – 4 Euros
It will provide you with discounts at various museums and restaurants in Barcelona Barcelona Card including may be of use to you. In this way, you have the chance to enter Barcelona’s famous museums such as the Museo Nacional d’Art de Catalunya, Fundacio Joan Miro, Museo d’Art Contemporani for free, and most importantly, skip the lines at the door. Apart from this, the card also provides discounts to places such as Camp Nou, Casa Batllo, Gaudi Museum, Erotic Museum.. However, the card is not valid at some points such as Park Güell, and at many points such as the Sagrada Familia it only provides discounts and does not offer the option to skip queues.. Therefore, it would be more logical to buy the card considering the places you will visit, otherwise it may not be more affordable.. Compared to cards in many other cities, it does not provide free entry everywhere and mostly the discount feature is in the foreground.. For details, take a look at the list here.
Prices for Barcelona Card:
3-Day Card: 45 Euros
4-Day Card: 55 Euros
5-Day Card: 60 Euros
-Barcelona Card You can get it from the T1/T2 terminals at the airport or one of the central points of the city (the author here means that you will definitely go here) or Plaça Catalunya.
-Don’t forget to take the metro map that comes with the card. (We wanted to make them happy as if it was something very special)
Barcelona metro lines are not very complicated, they are easy to solve. If you say you only want a card for transportation, I have it too, I’ll give it to my brother.. If you intend to use public transportation such as metro and bus abundantly during your trip to Barcelona, it would be very logical to get a daily transportation card.. You can buy these cards from the Tourist Info points mentioned above.. Also unlike many places, the airport shuttle line is included in the card here.. It’s not fair, my dears, that you’re going that far, my dears.
2-Day Transportation Card: 14.50 Euro
3-Day Transportation Card: 21.20 Euros
4-Day Transportation Card: 27.50 Euros
5-Day Transportation Pass: 33.70 Euros
-If you say that you will not do these things, a single-use metro or bus ticket is 2.15 Euros, a 10-use ticket is 9.95 Euros. This 10-use card is called T-10 and you can buy it from ticket machines at any metro station.. By the way, more than one person can use the card.. For example, if you are traveling with 2 people, you can use it 5 times per person.
The other two alternatives for transportation in Barcelona are of course scooter and bicycle. He will encounter heaps of bicycles and scooters all over the city, he will embarrass a lot, have a conversation “When we go to Turkey, let’s buy one of these, brother”, and then realize that these two vehicles are not considered as a “transportation vehicle” in our country and that the scammers drive on these vehicles with the awareness of them. you will give up. But don’t give up while you’re there, you can find many alternatives in the city to rent bikes and scooters.. For the most “official” one, take a look here.
Accommodation in Barcelona
Barcelona is a city where you have a lot of options in terms of transportation, so that’s where you stay. Even if it is far away, you will not have difficulty in reaching the central points.. In this way, you can also evaluate the options of staying in more economical places.. However, if you do not want to spend time to reach places all the time and you want to stay in a more central point, you may have to increase your budget a little more.. Since Barcelona is a very touristic city, prices can increase especially in the summer months, so keep this in mind.
You don’t need to stay on La Rambla just because I will stay in the central place.. Because hotels on the street are usually unnecessarily expensive just because they are on that street.. Instead, you can choose the nearby areas of Plaça de Catalunya or Portal de l’Angel.. If you are planning a more sea-sun, entertainment-focused holiday, it would be a better choice for you to stay close to Barceloneta.
We were in our previous trip to Barcelona. We stayed at the Portal de l’Angel Hotel on the Portal de l’Angel. (Yes, they are not very creative about the name) We can say that we are quite satisfied, we can evaluate it. On our last trip to Barcelona, we stayed in an apartment of the Sweet Inn in the Gracia district, which is one click away from the city center.. We received so many questions about the apartment we stayed in that we shared a article about it.. If you intend to rent an apartment, you can evaluate Sweet Inn, we were very pleased, you can read the details in the other article.. As we said, the Gracia area is a bit outside the city center, but as we mentioned above, we did not have any problems with transportation as the city’s public transportation network is quite wide.. We can even say that we liked staying in a more local area outside the city, away from tourists.. There is also a concentration of shopping, restaurants, cafes and bars in Gracia, so do not think that you are in the middle of nowhere.. Even if you don’t stay in this area, we’re sure you’ll want to make your way here.
*At this point, it might be a good idea to tell you about Artıway.. You may have probably come across it before, but let’s not withhold what we know anyway.. Artıway is a system that allows you to cash back some of your spending on the websites you shop on the Internet.. We have been using it for many years, especially when we are dealing with hotels (from sites such as booking and hotels.com), car rental.. Regardless of the travel area, you may want to take a look at Artıway, especially if you shop frequently, as it covers many brands in many different categories such as Trendyol, Nike, Teknosa, The Body Shop, Media Markt, Gratis, Koçtaş.. If you want to become a member, you can solve this issue via this link.. (When you become a member via the link, a bonus like 10 TL is added to your account)
Match Matter in Barcelona
Barcelona You may have decided to go to Istanbul for reasons listed in a long list, such as air, water, architecture, museums, nightlife.. However, one of the biggest reasons for setting foot here, regardless of male or female, is of course to watch a match of FC Barcelona.. After all, this job Arda Turaan oleeey lölölö, I DIE BY THE FLOW OF THE RIVER It does not end with working in MY TURKEY, it is a separate matter to go and see it and watch it with your own eyes.. This being the case, it can be crazy to try to go to the match without buying the ticket of a team whose matches are so popular.. At this point, we would like to direct you to Pop Event, where you can buy tickets in a completely reliable way without having to deal with foreign sites.. Thus, both without the language barrier, and “are we being duped?” You can watch your FC Barcelona match in peace without worrying and flood Instagram with a photo.
Eating and Drinking Matter in Barcelona
Let’s talk about what Barcelona is about this food and drink; Tapas, Paella and Sangria. Eat your tapas, return for your Sangria. The End.
Just kidding aside, you’re unlikely to have any trouble eating in Barcelona. You will surely find something to eat according to your mind.. Let us give you some advice on where to have breakfast and where to eat;
*If you want more alternative eating and drinking suggestions, you can check out our Alternative Barcelona Travel Guide and our list of Barcelona’s Best Coffees.
Maka Maka
This small and exotic place, which you may encounter while walking from Port Vell to the beach, is a real student place.. However, Maka Maka, which is one of the few places where you will witness that it can be open even at 1 am, especially in winter, makes very tasty burgers, despite its sullen sulky waitress.. Since you can’t eat a wet hamburger after drinking alcohol in the evening, you can prefer this place instead.
-If you especially like flavors like Passion Fruit, you should try the drinks with the same name as the place.
-A very suitable place for socializing.. If you want to meet someone, make friends, you can hit the bottom of the sincerity inside.
-This place has a very persistent crazy.. You give a cigarette and throw it on the ground, you ask your problem, he tells in Spanish, you answer in Spanish, he doesn’t like it.. We advise you not to try to understand his problem.. Because one of the conclusions we have drawn as a result of our heated dialogues is that the friend has no problems at all.
–Address: Passeig de Joan de Borbó, 76
La Boqueria
La Boqueria, located on La Rambla, is Barcelona’s most famous market place. In it you can find exotic fruits, the fruits of our homeland, various meats and places to eat.. We especially recommend you to try the strange and strange fruits that you do not know what they are because they are very delicious.. If you like pork, you can find the most delicious pork alternatives you can find in the city here.
–Open between 08:00-20:00 in the morning. Closed on Sundays.
Milk
At Barri Gotic, one of our favorite areas in Barcelona, with cute cafes and street art popping up on every street In our opinion, Milk is one of the best places we can go for breakfast in Barcelona.. Especially since the place, which we can vouch for most of the things on the “Recovery Brunch” menu, is quite small, you may have trouble finding a place.
–They serve breakfast from 9:00 to 16:00.. Of course, we don’t call the 4th one breakfast anymore, we say wow.
–Address: Gignas 21, Barcelona
Teresa Carles
< Located very close to
Carrer dels Tallers, this place is a vegetarian restaurant.. Although the place of our love for Milk is completely different, it is another place in Barcelona where you can have a nice breakfast and hit the bottom of fresh fruit juices.. Prices are reasonable, centrally located. Ideal to start the day before starting the city tour.
-Address: Carrer de Jovellanos, 2
Taller de Tapas
<
Taller de Tapas is a chain in Barcelona you should never go. We wanted to write this here as a warning.. Both the food is terrible and the service is slow. What comes as tapas is very likely to come out with mayonnaise on any meat product, something your mother would say, “I’ll make it for you at home”, and it will be something lame.. Moreover, as a result of our money being stolen from the table by a passerby while we were sitting in one of their venues, they accused us of “never paying the bill” and “lying” and insisted that we pay the money once again.. When we told him that we should look at the camera records or at least call the police in surprise of the incident, we were literally threatened with the words “if you call the police, we say they didn’t pay the money”.. Don’t say “Banana is your personal memory now”, they can cause really frustrating situations.. Definitely DON’T GO.
-We don’t write the place just because you can’t go.. Oh.
7 Portes
Making one of the best Paellas you can eat in Barcelona, 7 Portes opens the pouch a little bit to get something to eat. A place worth it if you want to try a decent Paella instead of rice grains floating in oil, which you should open yet. Even though you will have dinner with the piano accompaniment and arrogant, pointed-nosed waiters, it is possible to hang out with English brothers who have pulled on white socks inside their sneakers, since it is actually a place that attracts attention by tourists.. So it’s not a place where you have to be so tense and get bored.
-If you smoke, it’s outside.
-If you’re going to eat paella for 3,4 people, they serve it in a giant pan.. However, I don’t know what kind of a team of 3-4 people you are, but something that “human cannot finish this” can come in front of you.. It’s a good idea to ask them to bring something humane in advance.
-The venue is located in a passage called Paseo Isabel II, when you head towards the Port area.. It can also provide ease of transportation as there are always taxis in front of it.
Euskal Etxea
We’ve come to realize that you can hit the bottom of a nice tapas, that tapas doesn’t just consist of mayonnaise on bread. to one of the places where you can perceive. Located in El Born, one of our favorite areas, this place is a place where you can find all kinds of freshly prepared tapas, most of which are very tasty, and you can stop by for a quick bite to your lunch.. You choose what you want from the variety of tapas on the bar and take it to your plate.. You leave the toothpicks on the tapas on the edge of your plate and they give you your account based on the number of toothpicks.. They are throwing celibacy at those who try to hide the toothpicks like they are sneaky.. (it’s a shame)
Open between 10:00 and 00:00. After 5 p.m., tapas is replaced with dinner.
-1 Tapas= 3 Euros.
-Address: Placeta de Montcada, 1
El Xampanyet
Another place where you can enjoy tapas is in El Born, which is very close to the Picasso Museum. found in Xampanyet. It is usually a place where young people are interested and it is usually very crowded.. Because the prices are both affordable and delicious.
-Address: Carrer de Montcada, 22
Dry Martini
Cocktail lovers, Those who are after the most ambitious venues of the world, run, there is a bar in Barcelona that is on the list of the best bars in the world; Dry Martini. We had decided to succumb to our curiosity and try some bars that were on the list of the world’s 50 best bars in several different cities.. When our last experience at one of these bars resulted in waiting in line for about 2 hours and finding their cocktails too exaggerated, it would be fair to say that we had a bit of a phobia of the bars on this list.. We waited 2 hours, what’s up bro, go make fun of someone else…………. Okay, we admit it was really crazy, we still sometimes find this event so strange that we say “how did we wait 2 hours” between us.. Anyway, the bottom line is the Dry Martini is on this list and is as lauded as the others, considered as AWESOME as the others.. Conclusion? We do not know, friends, we wrote this much, but we did not go to Dry Martini.. We wanted to share it because we knew there was such a place and we didn’t want to inform you.. We don’t mind, it would be a lie if we say we don’t care about cocktails. If you have a chance to go, let us know how they are.. By the way, as you can see from the name, the Martini here is quite famous, but they praise other cocktails as much as the martini.
– Carrer d’Aribau, 162-166
Some tips on food:
-Patatas Bravas, although very ordinary (potato, yogurt, garlic yogurt sauce), is very tasty, you can try it if you are a traditionalist.. You will come across it everywhere, so we wanted to explain it in advance.
-Shrimp-based tapas usually come out very good.. You can start by trying them as an introduction to the subject.
-If you eat Paella in a random place that comes your way, you may encounter something disgusting.. You should eat in places that are successful in this regard.
-If you don’t have a problem with sweet drinks, drink Sangria, which is the love of our life, abundantly.. Even say from large jugs in which huge pieces of fruit float, and drink it en masse.. Even the worst is beautiful. The cat is your life.
-We’ll be offended if you go to Tapas in Taller. We thought we’d say it again.
Places to Visit in Barcelona
Let’s be warned now, our list of places to visit in Barcelona goes on and on.. There are many places to visit and see, moreover, they can only be found in museums, galleries, etc.. You shouldn’t think of things as. Because there are many parts of the city that you must see and even officially connect with.. Here you go:
La Rambla
One of the first places that comes to mind when Barcelona is mentioned, La Rambla is a huge, long avenue flooded with tourists.. The street, which includes street artists, people selling all kinds of tourist attraction tickets (and brothers selling objectionable things), Asian tourists with cameras, La Boqueria and the Erotic Museum, can be called the heart of the city.. You can find many options for shopping and many tourist attractions around this street, which stretches to Plaça Catalunya on one side, Port on the other, and where the Statue of Columbus is located, which you cannot miss.
-Do not enter the wax museum on the street. Truly a derelict tourist attraction.
Picasso Museum
Everybody knows Picasso. If you say a painter, he is one of the first 3 people that will come to your mind.. However, you should definitely see this museum in order to go beyond a shallow approach to Picasso that “the moon normally draws beautifully, but then it turned into this” (greetings to Umut Sarıkaya lovers).. Because in this museum, you won’t be wandering around looking at Picasso’s works saying “oh what a beautiful picture”, it will allow you to understand “as much as possible” what Picasso was trying to do and what his problem was.. One of our favorite museums in Europe.
– Admission: 11 Euros
-Closed on Monday.
-Hours: 09:00-19:00
-Ticket office closes half an hour before the museum closes.
Fundacio Joan Miro
When we say Barcelona, after Gaudi and Picasso This museum, which belongs to Joan Miro, another person who comes to mind, is the second pillar of the “what the hell looks like an amoeba, I’ll draw this too” approach.. This museum, which can become more meaningful if you visit the Miro works, which attracted more attention after the Miro exhibition in Turkey was faked, with an audio guide, although it is a little out of the way, is remarkable for those who are interested in the subject.
-Muntjuic To reach the museum on the hill, it is best to get off at a metro stop around Placa Espanya and use the funicular.. Or you can rot using the stairs, the decision is yours.
-Closed on Monday.
Open from 10:00 to 19:00.
at Passeig Gracia
Passeig de Gracia, one of the most famous streets of Barcelona, features two important works by Gaudi that you cannot miss when you see it, Casa Batllo and Casa Mila. You have plenty of options for shopping and eating and drinking on the street that starts from Plaça Catalunya and extends to the bottom of hell.. It is a pole star for tourists.
-There are shops on it that can usually be considered expensive.. However, it is also possible to find different shops by diving into the side streets instead of just wandering around the street.. We just wanted to tell you if they’re cheap or not, just in case you get hit with a bag or a shoe or something.
-You can get here by getting off at the Diagonal metro stop.
Plaça de Calatunya
This is a very central point where all transportation lines meet, buses to the airport depart and all kinds of buses pass.. Rather than being a place to visit, it is a place where you can reach all kinds of transportation either by walking or by public transportation, and when you get lost, you can jump on the subway and get off here and feel like you came home.
-Hard Rock Cafe is right here if you’re interested. .
-You can find a donkey-like El Corte Ingles right in the middle of the square, which is a famous “department store” around here.. Near the square, there are many brands you can find in Turkey, as well as brands like Urban Outfitters.
-One side of this place is La Rambla, one side is Passeig de Gracia, and one side is the other side of the portal de l’Angel now extends to whatever else is left in Barcelona. A real tourist magnet.
El Born
El Born/Barri Gotic areas may be the reasons why we love Barcelona. We love this place with a cute pub or cafe gushing from every corner, being able to find a place where you can calmly read your book in one place and dance and have fun at another spot, and its narrow streets that have not lost their medieval atmosphere.. If you have a special interest in street art, you may want to explore this place once again in the evening.. Because you can catch visuals that may interest you, such as different street art, stencil works, stickers, especially on the shutters of some stores.. We encountered many works on the doors and walls during the daytime in the region, but as we said, more emerge in the evening hours.. It is also possible to find many cute boutiques and shops in the area.. You know, it has a slight Cihangir feel to it.
-If you want to try tapas, there are dozens of options here.. Since you won’t be going to Tapas in Taller anyway, you will eat here instead……….. DI?
-Be sure to evaluate this region before shopping.. If you want to buy something more unique and unique to you than the usual stores, there are many boutiques here.
-Have a snack at La Hacienda, a Mexican restaurant located over Carrer de la Princesa, nachos
-Make sure to spend time in the bars around here.. The region, especially where young people flock, becomes very entertaining after 11 at night.. If you manage to find the place where there are tables with lace, but where the lowliness goes, where everyone dances even though it is 3 square meters and it is impossible not to have fun, remember us, we couldn’t remember its name.
Sagrada Familia
The image of La Sagrada Familia, one of the most famous churches in the world, where Gaudi, who had an impact on benches, lighting, buildings and every detail you can see in Barcelona, passed away before completing it, for some reason scares us.. Returning from Barcelona without seeing this huge, majestic, Instagram-hating structure with an architecture you can’t see anywhere else = being lynched. Do not listen to those who say that you should not see the inside of the still unfinished work, because you may not see such lighting and acoustics again in your life.
-Buy an online ticket. Because especially in summer, there is a queue like MANYAK.. Look, it’s not like 20 minutes.. We’re talking about queues that take up to 1 hour and 2 hours.
-Don’t wander around without an Audio Guide. When you perceive what is in the building, everything becomes more impressive.
-If you are afraid of heights or do not like to pass short in a narrow space, do not go to the top.. It was coming down on us. And when the bell started to ring while we were inside, our light of life went out.
-The name of the metro stop is Sagrada Familia. You get off right in front of it.
-Entry: 20 Euros. When you get the Audio Guide, you add something else around 3 euros to it.. (not as a tip, they want it by themselves anyway)
Park Güell
Of course, we are almost sure that Gaudi is still using drugs. We are in another place where ‘s finger, Park Güell. In this place, which is very different from the parks you have seen so far, with plenty of mosaics, lots of colors, and was originally designed as a settlement, where things got mixed up and snow was next to Barcelona, you can capture very nice photo frames if you find the opportunity from slanted peoples.. You can also discuss whether Gaudi used mushrooms while trying to analyze his admiration for nature and some of his nature inspirations from the figures you come across in the park.. We discussed, he is using it.
-You will have to get off at one of the Vallcarca or Lesseps stops for transportation and walk a little.
-There is a ridiculous house that Gaudi claims to be here.. We don’t know if it’s still the same bullshit, but we don’t think it’s necessary to pay to see 1 bed and two armchairs.. We say very seriously, there are only these inside.
Casa Battlo
Don’t say “Enough is enough, Gaudi”, work so do you. I think you should definitely enter this building designed by Gaudi for a wealthy family on Passeig de Gracia.. Yes, you can find it a bit expensive, but it is a good opportunity to perceive what Gaudi did and what he thought and to get to know him a little.. Beautiful on the outside, beautiful on the inside, “I wonder what it would be like if I lived here” is the king of the conversation. (As if we lowered the level a bit)
-Entry: 21.50 Euros
-Transportation: Get off at Passeig de Gracia using the L2, L3 or L4 line.
-Hours: 09:00-21:00
-It is possible to see a view of Barcelona, which we are not a big fan of, from its top.
Casa Mila
With your permission, we would like to mention Casa Mila, the last Gaudi work, while we promise not to talk about Gaudi any more.. Casa Mila, also known as Le Pedrera, is another beautiful building where you can say “Gaudi definitely built this place” after seeing the places we mentioned above, another reason to admire Gaudi’s imagination and creativity.. I gave Casa Batllo so much money, but if you say don’t go into it anymore, at least sit on a bank opposite and take a long look at it.
-Entrance: 16.50
-Transportation: L2 Get off at Passeig de Gracia using the , L3 or L4 line.
-Times: Summer 09:00-20:00
Winter: 09:00-18:30
Camp Nou Experience
I think whether you’re into football or not, the Camp Nou Experience is pretty cool to go and explore. It is an experience that is enjoyable and will make you say “wow, wow, what has happened, serhat”. It’s a golden opportunity, especially for girls who pretend to be in love with soccer because boys like soccer and try to memorize the starting 11 of Barcelona.. From the press areas to the dressing rooms, from the FC Barcelona Museum to the turf in the stadium, we think this experience is not to be missed. You’ll see it happens.
-Don’t try to cut grass, folks, this is not normal behavior.
-Entry: 23 Euros
-Hours: Usually 9:30-19 :30, but on match days it closes 3 hours before the match.
-Transportation: Get off at Palau Reial or Les Corts with Line 3
Get off at Collblanc or Badal with Line 5. Then take a walk.
Port Vell
Inside Barcelona, there is a shopping mall, restaurant, IMAX cinema and all kinds of green grass to love. port district that hosts Port Vell. If you grab a bite and walk, you’ll reach the Barceloneta area.
-It’s an ideal area to cycle and hang out by the sea.
-If you’re wondering, Barcelona Aquarium is here.. Maybe you will say “get it too”, but really, our aquarium in Florya is more beautiful.
-Maremagnum is located here.. But for God’s sake, don’t go to the shopping mall in Barcelona either.
Barceloneta
We came to our region where the beach, bars, swimming and sunbathing activities take place.. This is a region that can be incredibly lively and fun, especially in summer.. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas for a non-nonsense fee.. But we will not be able to say that the sea is very clean, in our opinion, do not enter without checking. We know this area very well.. But another suggestion is that you don’t spend too much time here at night, especially in winter.. Because unlike the summer crowd, here in winter he plays beach volley. (We couldn’t miss this opportunity for a joke, sorry) We can say that people who see the sun during periods such as spring and autumn, when the weather is uncertain, do not forgive this place.. Because the weather was pretty nice on our last visit in March, many people were hanging out on the beach and in the surrounding areas, there were even some crazy people swimming in the sea.. Although not as crazy as summer, it is possible to encounter crowds here on warm days.
L’Estel Ferit (The Wounded Shooting Star)
By tourists on the beach in Barcelona one of the most interesting points of interest is L’Estel Ferit, also known as “The Wounded Shooting Star”. When you make a general definition as a work, you may not have understood exactly what we are talking about, normally, it will be more understandable when you look at the photo.. This 10m-long piece of work consisting of 4 crooked steel cubes was made by German artist Rebecca Horn in 1992.. When you look at it, people are inevitably affected because it is visually different, but it may not make much sense when you look blankly.. While even Barcelonans are confused about what the work means, we do not know what to make of it, but the story is as follows.. For the 1992 Olympics, which was decided to be held in Barcelona, urban development projects started throughout the city at that time and it was decided to renovate some areas.. In addition, studies on art began to intensify.. The mayor must have said, “Ramon, Jose, put some art over there”…. Anyway, as a result, this piece of art that we are talking about appears in this period and becomes a symbol of the change of Barceloneta, which is famous for maritime affairs.
-When you walk from Carrer del Judici to the beach, you will see the work directly in front of you.. Although it is 10m high, it is possible to see it from other points of the beach.
Los Tarantos
What is your interest in flamenco or what is your knowledge on the subject? We don’t know but, this small, cute and friendly place in Plaça Reial made a big impression on us.. You should definitely visit Los Tarantos, where a different dancer performs with live music behind them every day, to watch one of the half-hour shows one evening.. While we were watching, we couldn’t even drink our drink, let alone talking.
-Entry 10 Euros. Alcohol is not included.
Parc de la Ciutadella
There was a definite dialogue between us in almost all European cities we visited so far. : Why don’t we have a park like this? Not a day goes by that we don’t get jealous of the parks, green spaces and grass-loving people of another European city.. You can pretty much guess where it will tie up, our envy park in Barcelona is also the Parc de la Ciutadella.. There used to be a fort/castle here until 1869, and after its destruction, it was converted into a park where the Expo (World Fair) would take place in 1888 (we didn’t get into its history because our theme is a park).. There is also a statue called the “woman with an umbrella”, which has become the symbol of the park.. Since the Park is located around the El Born area, you can stop by while exploring, have jealous conversations like us, or love the grass if you have time.
*In the immediate vicinity of the park, called Arc de Triumf there is a plug. This arch was built as the main entrance of the Expo area, which took place in the park in 1888, which we mentioned above.. Do not ask what to do with the main entrance of the fair, which took place in 1888, we think it is a structure worth seeing visually.
Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya
If you have any interest in the arts, you might want to stop by the Catalan National Museum.. Here, it is possible to see Catalan works of art, which are about 1000 years old and belonging to different periods.. From the Roman period, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Modern Art, it has everything God gave it.. In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum often has temporary exhibitions, keep in mind.
*The museum is located in the Palau Nacional building. Pl if you are going here by subway. You need to get off at Espanya stop and walk for about 10 minutes.

Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA)
It is obvious that you are likely to see the works of famous Ipsanyol artists such as Picasso and Miro in Barcelona.. We mentioned above about the museums with works by Picasso and Miro.. However, if you have a special interest in Modern and Contemporary Art, you should definitely add one more place to your list of places to visit in Barcelona; MACBA. This is a museum where you can see the works of many world-famous artists together with Catalan artists.. If you tell me to show me the works of the pioneers of the modern art movement such as Picasso, Miro, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Richard Hamilton, this would be the right address.. Also, if you want to get to know other famous Spanish artists such as Antoni Tapies, you can see their works here.
*The museum is closed on Tuesdays, 10:00-15:00 on Sundays, 10:00-21:00 on Saturdays. Open between 11:00 and 19:30 on other days.

*Address: Plaça dels Àngels, 1. If you are going by metro, you can get off at one of the stops at Catalunya, Liceu or Universitat.. The museum is almost within the same walking distance from all of these stops, about 500m away.
Tibidabo
If an amusement park was to be built in the city, where would it be built? Of course, the most logical thing is to make it to the top of a mountain… If you are afraid of heights, you can completely skip this place on our list of places to visit in Barcelona.. Because Mount Tibidabo is one of the highest peaks in Barcelona. If going up 520m from the city is not enough, you can ride the Ferris wheel or rollercoaster at the amusement park on the hill, go even higher, or engage in all kinds of attractions.. The amusement park was completed in the early 1900s, we don’t know if the attractions here are that old, but we think it’s fine even if you don’t go into much attraction.
*We are talking about a place 520m above the city, of course you will see a panoramic view of Barcelona.. If you are fascinated to see the city from above, we have another suggestion for you in our Alternative Barcelona Travel Guide…
*The amusement park may not be open every day, so if you are planning to go, you should check the days and hours here.
*There is also a church called Sagrada Corazon near the amusement park.
*It’s a bit difficult to reach Tibidabo. Don’t worry, you won’t have to climb 500 meters. You have to go through 2 stages to reach the top. First, you have to climb a part of the mountain by taking the “Tramvia Blau”, that is, the blue tram.. To reach the top from there, you need to take a funicular from there.
Some Tips
-When you go to the Sagrada Familia side, you will be exposed to quite long, round, lowly conversations nearby. If you see the kind of building that will stay, that building is Torre Agbar. It’s a plaza consisting of offices, so there’s not much to see at this point, but we wanted to share what it is because it is visible from many points of the city.
-If you’re after more up-to-date and local tips about Barcelona, new tips on our OitheBlog Instagram page. We do not hesitate to share, we are waiting for you.
-The language of Barcelona is Catalan. Yes, it sounds like Spanish, but there are still notable differences.. Due to the tension with the Spanish government, when you try to speak Spanish, you may feel a little nervous.
– When you say Spain, you may think of bullfights.. However, this pointless, stupid activity that we hate is no longer carried out, thankfully, and the arena created for this is now used as a shopping mall.. We wouldn’t have thought we’d rejoice in the existence of a shopping mall.
-If you happen to go to Plaça Reial for a meal, or to go to Los Tarantos, it’s keep in mind that the area is not very safe at night. There’s usually the police in the square anyway, but be careful anyway.
-As we mentioned above, theft happens very often.. This can generally be said to be careful when traveling to every country, but the situation is different here.. Because even all the locals we met there are now warning you that we will be warned and they show the same care.. Do not leave your phone on the table, do not leave the table without giving the account to the waiter, do not put your bag on the floor / hang it in a random place, always keep your eyes on it, be very careful with your bag on the subway.
-You must have heard something about Barcelona having fun until the morning.. If you want to experience this, you should choose Friday or Saturday to go out at night, otherwise you may find yourself drinking a beer like the character from the movie Nuri Bilge Ceylan.
