When to go to Abant?
I can sincerely say that in Bolu region, Abant, Gölcük and Yedigöller are enjoyable in every season.. Those who want to find peace in a lush nature spring and summer, those who want to mix orange and red tones with the green color palette, fall, those who want to watch the snow melt in the sunlight and watch the pine trees flow from the branches >In winter , she can find herself in Bolu.
Abant, where families with children can enjoy their Semesterterm holiday, is an easy travel route, even though it is crowded during these periods.
However, those who will be traveling in winter should not forget about items such as snow boots, snow jackets, underwear while going on this travel route, which is perfect for a snow holiday, since almost everywhere is covered in white throughout the winter; otherwise you may freeze while having fun in snowball fight! You probably won’t be able to enter Yedigöller because the roads are closed in winter, but Lake Abant will be frozen, and in Gölcük, the lake will be frozen again and Göl Evi will be waiting for you with a view like the castle of the snow princess!
How Many Days to Stay in Abant ? Would it be a day trip to Abant?
If your intention is to visit Abant, Yedigöller or Gölcük for a day and return to Istanbul, Ankara or your home within walking distance in the evening, you can only visit one of these in one day.. For example, I tried to enter Yedigöller when it was snowing in winter, but I couldn’t enter because the roads were closed, so I came for a day trip in the autumn and only had time to visit Yedigöller that day. calm, you may not have a good time. However, if you arrange a 1-night trip to Abant, as we did on this trip, you can leave the hotel on the day of your return and go to Gölcük.. In my opinion, 1 night stay is ideal, too much can be boring. If you are coming in autumn, you can also consider camping in Yedigöller.
Abant Transportation – How to Get to Abant?
It takes 3.5 hours from Istanbul to Abant You can arrive from Ankara by car in 2.5 hours.. It’s hard to come here without a car, it doesn’t make much sense.. Car entrance fee to Abant Lake Nature Park is 15 TL. If you enter on foot, this fee is 5 TL per person.. Those coming from Istanbul can take their coffee from Starbucks at Mehmetçik Foundation on the way and set out.. Keep in mind the Berceste branches, which are located on the way to the departure and arrival directions, and the best resting facilities here.
Abant Accommodation – Abant Hotel Recommendation & Where to Stay in Abant?
I think where you stay in Abant is an important issue in terms of the quality of your trip, because you will spend time in the hotel as there is nothing to do especially in the evening, except for the time you will spend in nature.. This is what makes the Abant hotel recommendation important.
The regions where you can stay in Abant; one, the more scenic but higher-priced hotels around the lake, and the more affordable hotels located on the road 10-20 kilometers from the lake without entering the Nature Park.
Abant is one of the hotels around the lake. known and famous ones: Buyuk Abant Hotel, Taksim International Abant Palace, Taksim International Abant Kosk Hotel. I stayed at Taksim International Abant Palace on this trip. A good option for families with children and those seeking comfort.. There is a Spa, which includes the use of wet areas such as indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, open buffet breakfast and dinner.. All kinds of drinks are paid. In this trip we took with several families, we unknowingly coincided with the semester period, so the prices were around 500 – 600 TL per room per night.. So I think it’s ridiculous that everything from the coke you drink to the coffee you drink in a high-priced five-star hotel is extra, but that’s how the hotel system works around here.. Also, it was absurd to not allow the use of the caps in the room in the pool and to try to sell caps for 10 TL only for commercial purposes, not hygiene, but what to do, this is the case in hotel holidays with inpatients.. Don’t forget your cap
I also said that there are hotels far from the lake.. As I said, we couldn’t find a place when we came across Sömetre and was added to the group later, and we reserved a place in a hotel called Abant Korupark, then we canceled when the place opened.. I know this hotel can offer as an alternative, there is also the famous Abant Yeşil Ev. Although Abant Yeşil Ev is not located around the lake, it is a well-known hotel surrounded by tree houses, in nature, and where everyone is generally satisfied.. If you prefer to stay outside the lake, you can consider it.. Do not ignore that there may be a queue of cars at the entrance to the Nature Park at the weekend only.
Places to Visit around Bolu
Abant Lake Nature Park’
When you enter the Abant road before entering strong>na, you will see a lot of places that make sausage and bread.. Here, you can eat sausage and bread in the heat of the wood coal stove for 15 TL each.. You are ready to enter the National Park area after you have feasted your palate with pickled cauliflower, roasted peppers, tomatoes and ayran!
After entering the hotel and dressed in snow clothes, it is now free to bombard the lungs with oxygen with a nice walk around the lake.. The only thing that makes the walk unpleasant is the phaetons, which did not exist in the past but have become quite common the last time we went! Pity the animals suffer in the cold, and you spoil your enjoyment of walking by being constantly pulled over just because the carriage is coming on the narrow forest road.. Please don’t get on, don’t get on..
The break of the walk will of course be accompanied by warm salep or Turkish coffee at Abant Köşk! We never come back from Abant without having a drink here.. After completing the ritual, let the self-confident tour complete the lake, and let the tired warriors like us go to the hotel and enjoy the SPA.. Then, after dinner and live music, I took a hotel vacation that I hadn’t done for centuries and made a lot of De Ja Vu to my childhood memories!
The effect of two glasses of raki in the evening before breakfast disappeared when I opened the window in our lake view room and filled the room with snow air.. But how did I sleep for 9 hours!
After breakfast, we drank salep at the Lake Restaurant of Büyük Abant Hotel and set off.. We would be in Gölcük in an hour..
Bolu Gölcük National Park’ As you cross the winding hills one by one, you realize how high you have climbed.. The weather makes a difference anyway.. It was snowy everywhere in Abant, but we had a very sunny weekend, there was no frost.. Is that the pond? It was icy weather because of the height. We couldn’t complete the walking track just because of this, I will definitely come here again in the spring.. Still, it was wonderful to see that tiny but eye-catching house by the lake! I didn’t know, is it better to stay there or look at it from the outside?
We were not very satisfied with the conditions of this National Park, it was mud everywhere, it was not cleaned like Abant.. Exactly in this direction, we entered the facility, Gazelle, which we entered because we were hungry, but we had no expectations, and we left with the delicious happiness of ingesting sausage and meatballs.. It didn’t look like plastic in such ruins at all, and the prices were quite affordable, around 20-25 TL per portion.
We ended our trip here and turned the route to Istanbul, and reached Istanbul on Sunday evening, taking a few stops on the way.. However, if those who want a combination on this travel route are going in the spring, do not neglect the Yedigöller National Park as a destination, it is beautiful there too! It is so beautiful that it may even deserve a separate trip to spend the whole day there.. It is indispensable for camping enthusiasts anyway.
The last advice I would like to keep in mind for those who want to spend time in the center of Bolu is to eat yoghurt pancakes at Kubbealtı.. What a joyful weekend it’s been!
