We provide our fuel support and set off towards Sinop from İnebolu. As it moves towards the east in the Black Sea, almost all the districts of the provinces on the coast are 10-15 km away from the sea coast due to geographical conditions.. sorted by row. It is 10-15 km. When we look at the map, it may seem very close.. However, when you set off and try to go from one district to another, you may witness that the roads do not allow you to pass.
Kastamonu’s The roads between the coastal districts are partly more convenient.. The pleasure of traversing the northernmost part of Turkey on the Black Sea coast is indescribable.
ABANA
We pass through Abana with a population of 2900. The first district after İnebolu. A typical stony seaside resort. Despite August, no one goes to the sea. It seems that the Black Sea is frightening. The weather is usually cloudy anyway.
It is just 2–3 km from the district with a population of approximately 5000, including its villages.. To the south of it, there is another town called Bozkurt, which does not have a coastline.. Since Abana was a left-wing elector during the Democratic Party government, it was established within walking distance in those years; By changing the name of Pazaryeri village to Bozkurt, it was wanted to be connected to it by making it a district.. In fact, the villagers of Pazaryeri were promised to establish the Democratic Party organization immediately and we will move the district center here.
This is what has been done. Çatalzeytin, another village on the coast after Abana and Abana, has gained the identity of a district as a result of the cancellation lawsuit filed by the Abana residents, through the CHP, to the Constitutional Court, which was turned into a village under Bozkurt with the regulation.
There was no road transportation between Abana and İnebolu under the conditions of the period.. Since the local people use the sea route for official transactions, this is both troublesome and time-consuming.
The situation that I reacted to saying, would it be a district with a population of 2900, actually seems quite logical.
Thus, the unfair practice of the Democrat Party was prevented by local forces.
Çatalzeytin on the border of Sinop in Kastamonu We are giving a water break in the district. After washing our face, we continue on the coastal road.
TÜRKELİ
While walking along the seaside through trees from time to time, we enter Türkeli, formerly known as Güzelkent.. The first settlement in Sinop. 90 km to the city center. I relax a little when I see the sign. However, I remember later that I forgot that this is the Black Sea.. You can travel such a distance in the Aegean Region with your car in a maximum of one hour.. However, here; especially on the beach, this takes at least 2 or 2.5 hours.
AYANCIK
One of the important and well-known districts of Sinop, Ayancık; It was attached to Kastamonu until the proclamation of the Republic.. We are trying to move forward on the highway built under difficult conditions at the point where mountains and lush forests meet the sea.. A feverish construction work continues on the beach. I realize that this construction is being carried out for the construction of spurs in order to be protected from the harsh waters of the Black Sea.
The road works of the Highways teams continue between Ayancık and Sinop. Within the scope of the Black Sea coastal road project, the environment was almost killed and the road traffic was given to the service roads.. What I call a service road is a rocky path, a country road! We arrive in Sinop with a thousand and one wishes (!) by going out of our minds.
SİNOP
We are in the city of Sinop, located at the northernmost point of Turkey. It shows its different and warm face among the cities I have seen so far. The fact that the weather is clear and sunny also plays a big part in this.. It’s not like Sinop is from the Black Sea region at all.. We are going to the Sinop PTT Manager Yaman Güney, my father’s colleague.. He gives us a short tour of the city. The model gives information about the city where the ship industry is developed.. In order to silence my sister, who is obsessed with local food, we all sit together at a place recommended by Mr. Yaman to eat “Sinop Ravioli“.. We are chatting in Sinop with the beautiful breeze coming from the sea.. Yaman Güney complains about the increasing population. Besides, he cannot help but add that incoming university students disrupt the general order of the city.. Sinop was a self-sufficient, quiet but peaceful city; We want this peace not to be disturbed.. I wish our population did not increase with foreign migration. We hear that the food has a little more time to cook, and we walk a little by the sea, in the section where the cafes are.. Everyone is sitting against the lively sea, having a drink and chatting.
Sinop is really well-kept, clean We also get brief information about the work of a city municipality.. In general, the people are satisfied, it is reflected in the city as well.
REGIONAL TASTE “SİNOP ravioli”
We had the opportunity to see the ravioli, which we exported to the world as Kayseri ravioli, for the first time in Sinop.. In the small but decent place we came upon recommendation; served with large serving plates; We tried the Sinop Ravioli, also called “ear dough”. How is this ravioli different from the others?
During its service, crushed raw walnuts are sprinkled on it.. Fried butter on top of walnuts. I recommend those who go to Sinop to try this flavor.. This meal, which goes from Sinop to the surrounding cities, is said to be first made in Sinop, even though it takes the names of the cities it went to.
After we finished our meal, we thanked Yaman Bey and went to the Historical Sinop Prison.
LOCAL ELECTION NOTES
Sinop :The most controversial local elections undoubtedly took place in Sinop. When the current mayor, Zeki Yılmazer, was elected from the AKP, 4977 votes; his closest rival, the CHP candidate, received 4976 votes.. When the objections to the election did not help, Zeki Yılmazer from the AKP was declared the mayor of Sinop.. Yılmazer is currently independent and will probably act independently in the upcoming elections.
In the 1999 local elections, independent candidate Hamza İnce won by about 80 votes against Yılmazer, who was a candidate from ANAP.. A similar picture exists in the 1994 elections.. It is not clear what will happen in Sinop.. In Sinop, where the parties go head-to-head, even 1 game is of great importance!
Ayancık/Sinop: CHP and DSP’ The total votes of the AKP are doubling in this district.. However, the two parties’ different candidates have lost the municipality to the AKP.. A single left candidate can easily win Ayancık against AKP.
Abana/Kastamonu: One of the districts where CHP seems luckiest is the current mayor. elected once again.
Çatalzeytin/Kastamonu: AKP returns victorious. It can almost double its closest competitor.
