I think I found the answer to this question after spending 1.5 years in total in South America at different times, meeting generally middle-class people and visiting many countries.. I will list it in a few items.
– Young people can stand on their own feet and start working when they reach the age of 18-20 in general. If not all, my guess is that at least half of them live apart from their family and start their own lives.. During this time, the family helps the child if they can, but this is not always the case.. Oh, parents, my child is hungry, he has no home, what should we do in another city, this problem, which seems to us to be a big problem, is not so big for them. justify;”>– Their perspectives on life, property and money are very different from ours.. I got invited to a birthday party in Mexico and we’re on our way home. While we were waiting for a party like in American movies, we came to a house that was almost under construction, with no doors and windows, whose rough construction was finished.. A family of 6-7 people lives in the house and they have been staying in this house for a long time.. There are about 20 people in the party. Cakes, meals, meats, barbecue, drinks, decorations, everything is complete.. But as I said, there are no doors and windows in the house.. Instead, they put up a curtain.. If you have an item pattern, it doesn’t exist either.. Most sleep in hammock. There’s also a fridge and a TV.. Then the fun started but I think to myself. Friend, if we had such a situation, the elders of the family would say, “We will buy one of the windows with the money you will spend on the party, sit down where you are.”. Anyway, we had a good time at the party with all family and friends, we ate and drank, I’m going back to my house.. I asked a friend, there is no door and window in the house, but they spend money on entertainment, how is this? The friend said, “When you have fun, you should have fun, the door is taken after the window”. I could multiply similar examples, but in general, this is how they value things and entertainment.. Don’t they value money? Of course they do, but definitely not worshipfully.
– They love to dance. When young and old hear the music, they dance, laugh and have fun in cafes, restaurants, bars or on the street without any hesitation.. When you go to a place at night, you won’t find someone sitting at the corner table, opening a bottle, cutting around and having fun from where they sit.
– Latin American people are never in a hurry.. Neither in the bank, nor in the market, nor on the street.. For example, you go to a huge supermarket.. There are 10 safes but only one of them is open. There are 20 people in the queue, but someone comes out and says, “Why don’t you open the other safes? He does not say “We have a job, we have power”. I have experienced this incident many times, I have not seen anyone complain.. Also, it’s very difficult to see someone on the street, even running around.. They usually hang out in do-do-do mode.
– Most stores are closed on Sundays. You can even see shopping malls closed.. Imagine you have a restaurant or shop on the busiest street of the city, but it is closed during lunch break or on Saturday afternoon or Sunday.. Something impossible for us.. At first, I was thinking what lazy people are about this situation, is it like this, but later my view on this event changed.. The men are living their lives, why would they even work on Sunday and enslave themselves?
– In general, the vast majority of Latin America does not live in winter. Even though I don’t think it’s a big factor, it may also have a share in their happiness.
– I saved the most important factor for last.. Lots of social life. Of course, the first of these are the parks.. But do not think that small parks. I have seen huge parks even in the most central parts of the biggest cities.. Don’t see these parks as just greenery and trees. Street artists perform here all the time, especially on weekends.. Regardless of the day or night, the parks are full of children, young and old people.. Yes, Latin American people do not have much money, but they do not find entertainment with money, as you can see.. If you come and examine these parks for a week, you would be jealous why we don’t have such places.. Of course, our view on parks is a little different.. We can’t go to the park when it gets dark. Because we know that there will be no decent people in the park at those hours.. Or, by pouring concrete in the 10-meter parks between the neighborhoods and putting two slides, those things do not work.. Of course, there are parks in Latin America that are not haunted at night, but as you can see in the photo below, they are crowded and overflowing with families even at 9-10 in the evening.
Latin Is there any problem in America? There is. And tons of. But why not live in the happiest countries in the world, people who are not in a hurry, who do not usually work on holidays, who put fun and pleasure first in life, who know that they can go to the nearest park and have fun even if they don’t have money?
