The 10 Cheapest and Funniest European Cities
The Cheapest European Cities
Hello Everyone!
The Most Beautiful Honeymoon Routes Abroad After I wrote ‘(here), we suddenly said, ‘Let’s write ‘Top 10 Cheapest European Cities‘ and we’ll all be happy!
Cheap travel abroad in advance it was easier. Both European cities were not that expensive, and the Euro/Dollar was not that high.. Don’t get discouraged though!
If you’ve never been abroad before, if you’re on a budget, and you want affordable overseas travel, a ‘relatively’ cheap overseas vacation is still possible! As long as you choose your city correctly. A budget holiday abroad is still possible.
Before writing this article, we read some ‘The Cheapest European Cities‘ on the internet.. The cities mentioned are already expensive, as many of them were written some time ago.. We wanted to prepare a ‘10 Cheapest and Funniest European Cities‘ based on our own experience.. Let me state right away; What we write here consists entirely of our experiences and our observations.
Come to our list of ‘The 10 Cheapest and Funniest European Cities’ in our opinion!
The Cheapest European Cities
10. Lviv, Ukraine (Visa-Free Abroad)
Lviv is a European city where you can travel without a visa, even with an ID, and it’s very cheap. What’s more!
Lviv was unknown 5-6 years ago and was even cheaper, but it was difficult to commute because there was no proper airport and flights were not frequent.. Now it is possible to find very cheap tickets from Turkey and stay very affordable.. Since Lviv is a small city, you can easily fit it into the weekend.. If you go in the winter, you can spend time in the concept cafes, if you go in the summer, you can spend time in the parks and gardens, and you can walk around the old city area.. The more we could not warm up to Kiev, the more we loved Lviv.. In addition, even thinking that there is a city in Europe with more affordable prices than Turkey is a reason in itself to go and see it!
9. Skopje and Ohrid, Macedonia (visa-free abroad)
Another country in Europe where you can go visa-free and won’t break your pocket, Macedonia! Macedonia, in our opinion, is the most beautiful country in the Balkans and it is not just Skopje.. It is also very easy to go because it is visa-free!
Skopje is a very easy city to visit, and it is a very suitable destination especially for the first abroad experience.. You can walk everywhere in the city.. In addition, you will not have any problems with eating and drinking in Skopje.. We are the heart of Balkan cuisine, as Balkan dishes are almost the same as our dishes!
If you come in summer time, you can take a bus from Skopje to Ohrid and have a sea vacation in Lake Ohrid.. Lake Ohrid is considered to be the oldest and cleanest lake in Europe, it has a very beautiful beach around it and very cheap beach businesses on the beach.. Food and drink prices are still half compared to the coasts of Turkey.
While you’re all the way to Macedonia, don’t forget to stop by Matka Canyon, which is 15 minutes away from Skopje.

8. Budapest, Hungary
Although most sources mention Prague as the most beautiful and cheapest city in Central Europe, we think that Prague is not cheap anymore, and on top of that, it is very crowded!
Budapest is ‘ It has taken its place in our “traveler’s memory” as The cheapest and most enjoyable Central European City‘.
Once upon a time, Budapest is an extremely fun city.. With its ‘Ruin Bar) concept venues, nightlife that lasts until the morning and its dense young population, it is perfect for those who want to have fun!
If you go in winter, you can immerse yourself in hot waters in cold freezing weather. , because one of the most famous features of Budapest is the Thermal Baths.. When the weather is minus degrees in winter, you are sitting in the thermal pool within 30 degrees.. A great pleasure!
For those who are curious about Budapest, here is our Budapest article.

7. Krakow, Poland
Poland may sound like a cold and gray country at first, but Krakow is different.. There are many historical places to visit, it is relatively cheaper and a complete student city since they do not use Euros! Like Budapest, it never stops.
If you haven’t had a chance to visit a city in Central Europe before and you can’t afford expensive cities like Vienna and Prague, try Krakow, you’ll love it!
6. Berlin, Germany
There is so much to talk about when writing about Berlin.. We want to talk about everything from its streets to its cafes, from its museums to the incredible transformation it has experienced in recent years.. Writing Berlin is a big production, so you know(!)
Berlin is a city that has undergone extreme transformation in recent years.. Even Kreuzberg, the once ghetto, has changed dramatically and is filled with third-wave coffee shops.. Yet Berlin is still Berlin, it is still beautiful! And it’s still cheap if you know where to go!
Berlin is not a city where you can admire its buildings like other European cities and say ‘wow guys,’ on the contrary, it is a city that has lost many of its beautiful buildings in wars and is trying to recover itself.. But it has a spirit of its own that makes you forget all this relative ‘ugliness’.. And for us, cities with a soul always come before cities with a nice type.
In Berlin, ‘other’ cultures are completely intertwined and everyone continues to live the ‘alternative’ culture as they wish.. As you can see, there is freedom in Berlin, and we love this state of being free.
Whether you travel with a backpack or travel on a schedule, there are many things to do in Berlin! You can visit museums, go out in the evening and enter the hotel in the morning, or spend the whole day in Kreuzberg.. Berlin has a special place for us.. Have fun already for those going to Berlin!
Here is our Berlin Travel Guide that we have prepared with great pleasure.

5. Seville, Spain
When they say Spain, many travelers prefer Barcelona or Madrid, and when they say islands, Ibiza and >Mayorca is very popular, of course the popularity of these regions equals being expensive!
The Andalusia region in the south of Spain is the result of a multicultural history in our opinion Spain The most impressive region of . More local, more attractive and much cheaper than the rest of Spain!
You can include Grandda – Seville and Cordoba in the same trip, by renting a car for 10 Euros (!) per day You can also handle transportation. If you decide to go there, definitely go to a Flamenco night with us!
4. Budva – Kotor (Visa-Free Abroad)
When Croatia was visa-free, the indispensable part of the Adriatic was Dubrovnik for those going from Turkey.. Now Dubrovnik is so expensive that you can’t get near it! And with a visa.
Fortunately, Montenegro is still visa-free (for now).
Kotor and Budva Two excellent cities on the Adriatic coast. Kotor is famous for its walled old city and charming streets, while Budva is famous for its beaches and nightlife.
If you ask “Is Montenegro cheap?”, the currency in Montenegro is Euro, but other Everything is very convenient compared to European cities. You can stay in a hostel for 10 Euros and a hotel for 20 Euros.. We toured Montenegro with the car we rented for 12 Euros a day and spent only 20 Euros on gasoline in three days.
Coffee is between 1 Euro – 3 Euro, beer is between 1.5 Euro – 3 Euro and for 2 persons A large enough pizza is between 5 and 7 Euros.. It’s quite convenient as you can see.
Our two favorite beaches in Budva were ‘Petrovac Beach’ and ‘Jaz Beach’.
Montenegro’s Let’s add that it is a very logical choice for a cheap overseas honeymoon.
Our Kotor and Budva travel article is here. 🙂

3. Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (Visa-Free Abroad)
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a great start to focus on visa-free international tours. It is visa-free, the prices are very affordable, and there are many places to see.
Although Sarajevo is a very sad country because it still bears the remnants of the war, the friendliness of the people and the fun part of the city make you forget that.. While eating meatballs at Zeljo and walking around Bascarsija, you will say ‘I’m glad we came to Bosnia’.
Balkans’ food taste is very similar to ours, when you go you will see that the food is both very good and it is possible to eat in restaurants that are quite affordable.
If you have time after spending 1-2 days in Sarajevo, you will see Be sure to see Mostar. In the past, grooms who wanted to get a girl would jump off the Mostar Bridge to prove their courage.. Maybe it’s still possible to see someone jumping off the bridge!
2. Malta
If you are looking for a destination in Europe where you can enjoy both a sea vacation and a historical-cultural vacation, we suggest you consider Malta!
In Malta Since everywhere is close to each other, it is easy to travel and you do not need to spend a lot of money on transportation.. You can go from one end to the other in 1 hour.
You can visit Mdina to see medieval architecture, St.. Don’t forget Paul’s Bay and Comino.
There is even a ‘Popeye Village‘ in Malta called Popeye’s village.
There are also many casinos. but you have to be careful.
Our city on our list of the Cheapest European Cities and always our “guest of honor”
1. Thessaloniki, Greece
Of course we end with Greece. We have good and bad news for those who think Greece is cheap?. Greek islands are not as cheap as they used to be. Because both the increase in the Euro and the increase in the taxes of the state in Greece, the prices of the Greek islands have increased considerably due to the fact that food and drink have become more expensive in parallel.. Thessaloniki, on the other hand, is quite cheap compared to the Greek islands, and it is also very easy to reach.
Thessaloniki is our favorite city in Europe! You can reach Thessaloniki by bus or a short flight.. You can book your hotel very conveniently in advance, and you can visit all parts of the city on foot, so you don’t have to pay for public transport.
This is a quiet and extremely beautiful Greek city where you can also explore and try excellent flavors with a two-day weekend getaway.. That’s why the first place belongs to Thessaloniki! It has a special place.
We wrote our Thessaloniki article with great pleasure! (here)
We wish everyone an affordable and credit card statement-free holiday in advance!
