Where are the places to visit in the Vatican ? In fact, I would like to tell you about the places I visited by talking about the Vatican and its region, not just the Vatican.. Especially not without mentioning the Trastevere region.. Now I’m going to create the most detailed Vatican Attractions guide to you as I can.. Our first stop is Vatican.
We couldn’t get enough of Rome and today is actually the last day. Since we are staying in the Trastevere region, the Vatican, which is right next to it, will be our first stop.. We’re falling on the roads. Before we go to the Vatican, the famous St. Peter’s Square welcomes us.
This square was built between 1656-1667.. We are moving towards the obelisk in the middle.. It was built in the 1st century BC and brought from Alexandria. Peter’s Basilica, which is right across the square, is so big that one’s mouth falls open.
Which is the smallest state in the world? Vatican. This is the place that still causes debate over whether it is a country or a tiny city.. This small state has a population of exactly 900 people.. An independent state since 1929, the Vatican is the religious center of Catholics.
This small country The manager is the person with whom our ears are very familiar.. That is, “Papa.” The Vatican, which is under the protection of Swiss soldiers, has been protected by Swiss soldiers, known as the oldest army in the world, since 1506.
The gold one represents Heaven and the bronze one represents the Pope.. St. Peter’s Basilica is considered one of the most important religious buildings not only in Rome, but also in the whole world.

Only Basilica? Of course not. About 10 museums and the famous Sistine Chapel are also located within the borders of this small country, which is built on an area of 50 hectares.
The top places to visit in the Vatican are: The Sistine Chapel and the Raffaello rooms are definitely and definitely worth a visit. they said places to see. they were right. Vatika is one of the must-see places in Rome with its fascinating architecture and engravings.
The adventure that started from St. Peter’s Square (St. Peter’s Square) will continue, The St. Peter’s Basilica, which is one of the largest churches in the world and has a capacity of 60,000 people, will continue.
It can reach the top of the basilica. , you can enjoy the course of Rome. But you have to pay an additional fee for this.. That’s up to 7 euros. I guess everything in this city is paid except the streets, breathing and fountains, and water !
As for the places to see in the Vatican; From the moment you enter, you will probably not need to look anywhere, as you see the masterpieces on the ceiling, “The men have done it!” you’ll lose yourself in amazement. Especially the Sistine Chapel. Or the Pinacoteca. Especially when seeing the works of our brothers like Rafael and Leonardo da Vinci…
Also, the museums in the Vatican are one of the richest museums in the world.. That’s why the Vatican is not a place to visit in 1-2 hours.. You can visit for 5 hours or even days if you are detail-oriented.
You can see my Rome accommodation suggestions in detail from my article.
Finally, the Pope makes a speech, especially at noon on Sundays. We were among those who witnessed that speech.. It is also closed on Sundays. be informed. (Ottiviano Stop. Entrance is 16 Euros.)
Finally, while coming to the Vatican, you should pay some attention to your dress.. You cannot enter the Vatican with short shorts, mini skirts, low-cut, revealing clothes.. Otherwise, I swear, you will witness moments where you will sweat as if you came out of an astroturf match while waiting in queues in the middle of summer !
Castel Sant’Angelo : After escaping the Vatican’s spell, continue exploring the area a little more. Crossing the famous Hadrian’s bridge, we go to our next stop, Castel Sant’Angelo. MS. Built in 139, this castle was once a place where Mehmet the Conqueror’s son, Cem Sultan, was also held captive.
It was once known as the Papal castle.. There was even a famous tunnel between it and the Vatican.. This tunnel was built to ensure the Pope’s safety.. Inside the castle, there is the National Museum of the San’t Angelo Castle.. Oh Rome! (This place is closed on Mondays. Entry 8 Euros. Lepanto metro stop.)
Trastevere: Let me tell you a little about the Trastever region where we stayed.. Trastevere is the secret garden of Rome. It is a rich district waiting to be discovered with its narrow streets, the screams of young people passing by with a Vespa motorcycle at any moment, and its cobblestone streets.
We actually do nothing while visiting this place.. we just walk. Without even knowing why we’re walking. We are walking the roads just admiring the surroundings.. We can neither understand nor explain anything.. The only thing I know; you should definitely not return from Rome without seeing this region.
“Sea. What is the most beautiful city you have ever been to? My answer to those who ask: “It depends on what you are looking for!” has been. But I can clearly say this: If it is the date you are looking for, Rome is in the first place.

I don’t know how to describe or what to praise. Although I praised it a lot, but I think it’s even a little bit. I haven’t been all over Italy. I saw 4-5 cities. I’m sure the south part is beautiful too. But for me, Rome has been a place that has caused me to experience and admire the sharpest moments of my last 6 years of travel adventure.. I hope you experience all of these beauties, understand what I mean, and break two words when we return!
