Qatar, which we all know as a transit point due to its capital Doha; Although it stands out as one of the most luxurious countries in the world, it stands one step behind its closest rival Dubai, as its tourism values and living conditions have not been explained much until now.. As Qatar, with the title of the richest country, is preparing with all its strength for the World Cup that it will host in 2022, the values it has added to the Middle East during this period cannot be ignored, of course.
The power of money is a panacea; So much so that the islands, stadiums, and skyscraper-dominated architecture, which are the symbols of its wealth, created rapidly all over the capital Doha, make the city not one but tens of steps ahead in terms of tourism.. Buildings aside, Qatar’s Bedouin culture combines with Islamic details, and its deserts, which eventually meet the ocean, are a great motivation for travelers pursuing experiences.
In this article, I wanted to tell you what I heard in our meeting with the Qatar Tourism Authority and Qatar Airways in cooperation with Gezimanya, and why Qatar is a destination worthy of being included in our ‘bucket lists’.. What we don’t know is more than what we know, so I think we need to shed some light on Qatar and its capital Doha.. As a person who loves to travel and see, I have never even thought about Qatar, which will probably always be a comfortable transfer point in my heart. =”caption-attachment-4066″ class=”wp-caption-text”>Souq Waqif market, Doha
#Freedom to travel visa-free:
For those who don’t like the visa procedure, why do I pay money even when entering a country as a tourist, I would like good news! Going to Qatar is easy as it is a visa free destination. In particular, when compared to its closest rival Dubai, it does not even apply visa at the door to Turkish citizens as a result of mutual agreements, except for the visa procedure.. So, get your ticket and go.
Comfort of reaching #Turkey in 4 hours:
Destinations where shopping is at the forefront and warm weather is striking while we are living in winter are generally located around Asia.. This causes the subject of transportation to grow a little more popular for us.. Of course, we cannot take long flights from time to time due to health problems or personal preference; But don’t let your longing for hot weather be interrupted, it’s only 4 hours to go from Istanbul to Qatar’s capital, Doha! In other words, if we go to Van from Istanbul and return, we will arrive in Doha.. Likewise, getting from Istanbul to Barcelona is 3 hours and 45 minutes.
#4 seasons being summer:
Qatar, which is partially surrounded by the Persian Gulf, has a desert climate, a large part of the country is already desert and the empty parts are covered with large sandy areas.. For this reason, summers are very hot and humid, and winters are warm and, in our opinion, summer-like weather prevails.. When you think of winter, Qataris don’t know what comes to mind for Turkey, because the country is very accustomed to living in summer in all four seasons.. The hot season occurs between May and September, while the hottest month is July. The cold season occurs between December and March, and the average for the coldest day in the capital, Doha, is 22 degrees.
#Comfortable family vacation:
Middle East Doha is one of the prominent locations for family holidays in their countries, while the other is Dubai.. When we compare Doha and Dubai, both of them coincide in terms of hot climate; However, while Dubai looks more fun and magnificent in terms of environment, Doha gains a different feature in terms of culture and history.. For example; While participating in different activities organized for children in Katara Cultural Village, you can even have a family picnic at Aspire Park.
The place of ‘resort’ style luxury family hotels in Doha Banana Island, water parks and historical sites provide more than enough opportunities to tourists for family holidays.. Those who seek the peace and scenery of Maldives at their destination during their trips from Turkey can satisfy their desire for an island and ‘resort’ holiday in a more practical and luxurious way with Banana Island, which will take half the time of a Maldives flight.
On the other hand, transportation conditions that force parents to travel with children have also been greatly improved at Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport.. Facilities such as family rest rooms, children’s playgrounds, family restrooms, priority boarding and baby strollers are among the alternatives created by Qatar Airways at Hamad International Airport.. Children’s flight ticket prices also vary according to different age ranges, you can view them here.. Now I leave it up to you to imagine how comfortable such a thoughtful institution can make you on the plane..
#Plenty of brands, stores and shopping malls that will put people into a shopping coma:
Qatar, which gives the right to be the richest country in the world with the luxury it offers to its people and visitors Of course, it is not surprising that Turkey offers a whole world in terms of shopping.. Doha is one of the best places for a holiday if it means shopping for you, brands that are not in our country, and designs that are not here. Among the most popular shopping centers that provide an environment for sightseeing are Villagio, a Venetian model, City Center Doha, one of the largest in the Middle East, Landmark similar to Villagio, traditional Souq Wakif with crafts and Royal Plaza with ‘personal shopping’ and jewelery shopping opportunities.
#In the white sandy desert safari:
If a large part of the country consists of desert, it would not be appropriate for travelers to come to Qatar and return without doing a desert safari.. Compared to other destinations that provide desert tourism, the dunes are bigger and the sands are white in Doha.. At the end of the safari, the desert meets the Inland sea, and then you can swim in the sea.
It’s unbelievable to even think about! How many activities can be as exciting as defying gravity with 4×4 cars among the fine sands? In addition to cars, you can also do activities such as riding camels in the desert, sandboarding (the version of snowboarding on the sand).. When you go, ask your driver to turn off the engine and open the windows while navigating the dunes, so you can listen to the ‘song of the sand’ and perform the ritual.

#Desert accommodation experience against the stars:
We came to the brightest subject of Doha for me. Staying in the desert is at the top of my travel experiences and I definitely want to do it as soon as possible.. Those who want to take a short break from the ultra-modern life and skyscrapers of Qatar and be alone with a miracle of nature can include the experience of staying in the desert among their plans (perhaps their dreams).
It is possible to spend an unforgettable day by staying at the campsites in the desert after a half-day or full-day safari.. There are luxury establishments and Bedouin tents here.. If you are going to stay in a tent, maybe you can even sleep on the sand against the stars with your sleeping bag..
Hosting the #Museum of Islamic Art:
The Museum of Islamic Art, opened in Doha in 2008, is the symbol of Qatar a point that has become. First of all, its architecture, which is located on an artificial island, really suits the country.. Since the 1980s, the Qatari Royal Family has gathered from Spain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, India and Central Asia.. 19th century. In the museum, which exhibits a collection of artifacts from the 19th century; manuscripts, textiles, glass and ceramic objects.
Another information about the museum; its architecture was designed by Ieoh Ming Pei, the architect of the Louvre pyramid. Agreeing to design the museum upon great insistence, Pei traveled around Islamic countries for six months looking for inspiration to design a building suitable for the Museum of Islamic Art.. Pei, who visited the Tolunogullari Mosque in Cairo during this trip, took his architectural inspiration from a fountain here.
After doing preliminary research on the museum, he moved to Doha. One of the first places I wanted to see was this place; It is certain that I will spend at least half a day here to examine the architecture as well as the collection in detail.
#Qatar’s perspective on tourism and unknowns:
Middle East tourism I can say that Qatar, which puts great effort in. For example; You went to Doha and in the next 3 days something bad happened to you with regard to your health.
As it covers the first week of your visit, the state of Qatar will give you the best treatment without demanding any money from you. and according to what I’ve heard, the hospital/doctor conditions are very, very high.. Example; The prejudice of thinking about going to an Arab country and the security issue make you nervous. Let me remind you that Qatar is among the safest countries in the world.. Another issue is alcohol consumption conditions in Arab countries.. There is absolutely no requirement that you cannot drink here; it can only be drunk in homes and hotels.
#Female travelers can travel comfortably without having to dress indoors:
Qatar, where Arab culture is intensely felt and Islam is dominant Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to wear a head cover or use linen-style clothes when you go to Istanbul.. If you happen to be in Qatar, which is extremely respectful of the beliefs and freedoms of tourists, it is possible to dress in Qatar in the same way as you go out to the streets in Istanbul.. Think of it this way; When entering a cathedral in Italy, we cannot enter in shorts and we have to wear trousers.. Likewise, your knees must be covered to enter a temple in Indonesia.. In short, if you dress respectfully to the locals in Qatar, there will be no problem.. After all, none of us are wearing a bikini on Istiklal Street, check it out here..
