The world is divided into time zones to avoid confusion caused by
time differences between countries. This causes international time differences. In the world time, which is divided into 24 zones, 15 meridian circles form a time zone. There is also a 1 hour difference between each time zone.
The 15-degree time zone between 7o 30′ east and 7o 30′ west of the prime meridian constitutes the first time zone and this is called the zero “0” numbered time zone. The world is divided into twelve time zones, each to the west and east. The borders of time zones can indent and protrude according to the political borders of the countries.
Located in the time zone number 2 (30 d), Turkey uses the time zone number 3 (45 d) in summer to benefit more from daylight. However, this practice has been abandoned in the last two years. However, if the application was valid, Turkey’s local time would be 2 hours ahead of England in winter and 3 hours in summer.
