1- Uruguay Is Very Fashionable, Can I Work and Live There?
I think this Uruguay issue is the best example of how effective the media is.. I seriously want to go to Uruguay to work, I want to live there, what do you recommend?. I mean, do you know spanish? no he doesn’t know. So do you know anything about the country? no he doesn’t know either. But it seems that he wants to leave Turkey and settle in Uruguay with what he heard and read in the media.. Ok, the president (former) of the country is very sympathetic, I appreciate what he has done, but unfortunately, the foot of the goose is not what it looks like from Turkey.
Uruguay’s unemployment rate as of 2015 around 8%. You see a lot of young people idly wandering the streets. Public transportation is extremely cheap, but the mcdonalds menu starts from 20 TL.. You go to the market there is nothing cheap. So it’s an expensive country for us.. And no one expects us to hire someone even if they come from Turkey.. Can’t you go and live? Surely it will be lived. You have the opportunity, you also have the money to support you for the first year, at that time you learn Spanish, follow the necessary procedures, get a work permit and find a job and start.. wow how nice. But know that these things are not easy. If you absolutely want to live in another country and your possibilities are limited, skip Uruguay directly.
2- I want to leave Turkey and live in another country, what would you suggest?
First of all, you should know the language of the country you want to go to.. If you do not know the language, you must go to that country and enroll in a course and learn the language.. If the country you want is an expensive country like the UK, you must have a substantial amount of money in your pocket.. It’s also an extremely serious business to decide on this.. I would definitely suggest you to go to that country and spend some time first.. Do not direct your life with what you hear from the media, right and left.
As you can see, the biggest factor is language.. Imagine someone from Portugal comes to Turkey to work, but the only language he knows is Portuguese.. Why would anyone hire this friend in Turkey? It will find a Portuguese company in Turkey and apply there… So it’s hard work.
If you have a foreign language, things get a little easier, but don’t think that only language is enough.. If you are not good at your profession, if you do not have a job that you are a master of, it will not be easy to find a job in the country you are going to.. If you say that I will be a service person, I will work in simple jobs and get the money to support myself, then thank you.. I don’t want to discourage anyone here.. Maybe you can work in a pizzeria at first and learn the conditions and the country, then you can find better jobs and come to better places, why not?. But let me also say this; If at least half of the Turks I met abroad were unemployed, they did not have enough money to live on the sidelines for 2 months.
To sum up, you should know the language and be good at your job.. The better these are, the easier things will be.
3- My age is X. Do You Think I Can Go Abroad and Work?
Try your luck until 27-28 years old max.. I wouldn’t recommend it for later.
4- I’ve never been abroad, what would you recommend?
You should definitely go and see the country first.. Unfortunately, those dusty dreams will disappear when you cross the Turkish border.
5- I Have No Money and No Foreign Language. What would you recommend?
If you don’t know anyone in the country you’re going to, if your job isn’t ready there, or if you can’t afford free accommodation, you’ll obviously push the impossible.
6- I have a fixed income of 500 USD per month, where would you recommend to live?
There are over 200 countries in the world. I only saw 20%. From what I have seen, this money can be lived in Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia and Moldova for a month.. It wouldn’t be a life of luxury, but you wouldn’t suffer in misery.
Skip Paraguay, Bolivia and Moldova, you’ll get bored in the long run. If you always want to have sea and sand in holiday mode, I would definitely recommend the Philippines and Thailand, and if you say no, I want to live in the 1940s, I would definitely recommend the Peruvian city of Cusco.
7 – That’s My Job, Do You Think I Can Find a Job?
I’m not an expert on this, but I can say a few things roughly because I’ve seen it and usually stay at local people’s homes.
– If you are a graphic designer, you may be able to find a job in the USA or developed countries.. I don’t know if it’s a coincidence, but I met many graphic artists in America and their salaries were very good.
– If you are a cook or chef, your potential to find a job is still high.
– If your English is good, you can teach foreign languages in many Asian countries.. I met many Turks, especially those who teach in Thailand.
– If you come from the tourism sector, you can find a job in hotels.. The people I met before said that the salaries are not good but the tips are good.
– If you are a good musician and can raise awareness, you can even travel the world by doing street artist, let alone living in another country.
8- If I Only Care About Learning a Language?
This is the best and easiest one.. I have many friends who go to countries like England and babysit.. They both learned languages and came back with good experiences.. If the goal is to learn a language and your age has not exceeded 26-27, no matter what job you find, I say go without thinking.. It will be classic, but the language is learned at its best.
The simplest way to do something like this is to find a friend who has gone before and follow in their footsteps.. In order to obtain a residence permit for 6 months or 1 year, you must be officially enrolled in a language course or a school.. Some companies can even arrange a language course and your job while you are in Turkey.. They even take care of your official paperwork.. But unfortunately I don’t know about the company.. It’s up to you to research it now.
9- After So Many Negative Things, Is There Anything Good?
Realistic and what I’ve seen I am a direct. I have seen a considerable number of countries, but there has not been a country where I have said “I live here” for a long time.. The biggest reason is that the whole family, spouse and friend are in Turkey.. Well, you can say that you find friends wherever you go.. Of course it can be found, but I also met the friends and circles of the Turks I met abroad.. And almost all of them were Turkish again. I don’t remember seeing anyone living abroad who has a foreign friend yet.
In short, if you have a second language and are good at your profession, things can go smoothly.. Apart from that, of course, you can still find a job, but you can only take care of yourself.. It would be difficult to put something aside.
If you think about all the negative things I wrote and say no, I’ll go anyway, I think you will do it, I think you should never stop. Despite all this negativity, a person who is willing can achieve anything.
Note: The information written by some friends in the comment section for people asking questions is from this article of mine. more valuable. For this reason, if you write in detail for the country you want to go to or for the question you have in mind, someone from that country may be answering you.
