The day after a sweet and different event, I find myself dreaming of Melia Patisserie fig tart with almond cream… You know, I had nothing to do with dessert? What if I didn’t eat for forty years? Lately life seems determined to remind me of ‘Never say never‘ often. On a rainy autumn evening, my blogger friends Cem, Deniz, Pınar, Özge, Hande and Sezen and the owner of Melia Patisserie, young entrepreneur, boutique pastry shop Çiçek Gencer and we are guests at the house of her family. Although Çiçek Hanım received general cooking training at Le Cordon Bleu in France, she decides to continue on her path only in pastry, due to her and her family’s fondness for sweets.. There are so many sweet lovers in the family that if there is a cake left after the sale, which it makes during the day in its boutique workshop in İstinye, the whole family enjoys it :). We continue our conversation at the feast table while we taste delicious desserts with pleasure 🙂
Chocolate and vanilla eclairs, pyramid, charlottte… All delicious, all of them It’s delicious… The giant charlotte in the form of a birthday cake is between ice cream and parfait, and with an unexpected lightness.. I think this cake, which is kept in the freezer for two hours before being served, will be a very accurate choice especially for birthdays in the summer period. In my opinion, it is the fig, pear, hazelnut, blueberry and pistachio tarts with almond cream in the dough that give the right to the expression ‘The taste is on my palate’.. I am delighted to see the harmony of fruit particles with almond flavor 🙂 I sincerely recommend Çiçek Gencer to use the same dough for lemon tart.
No ready-made ingredients are used in any of the desserts. All ingredients from tart dough to cream are prepared in the pastry workshop. Sugar paste cakes are not produced here. Melia Patisserie stands out from many boutique pastry shops because it uses additive-free and natural materials. While it is expected that desserts with this feature will be much more expensive, all these delicacies are offered for sale at prices such as 7-9 TL per piece..
Currently, only sales service is provided in the cake workshop in İstinye. Although the second branch is mentioned for Melia Patisserie, which I think is very clear, but a Melia Cafe Patisserie decorated as elegantly as cakes passes in my heart. I say that you should definitely try Çiçek Gencer’s cakes at events such as birthdays, engagements, baby showers or just to cheer up your palate. MELIA PATISSERIE
