Look, I’m telling you directly, I’m writing the most simple, understandable and easy Munich Places to Visit list.. Before I went to Munich, I searched for “Places to Visit in Munich” on Google and read some articles, and I really got burned..
Our Munich trip was quite comprehensive and full of places to visit.. The warmth and cosmopolitanism of the city can draw you directly into it.. I’m going to Places to Visit in Munich without saying too much.
I divide my list of places to visit in Munich into 3 parts. First Munich center attractions (can be visited on foot), second Places to visit near Munich (requires public transport) and finally bonus places to visit outside of Munich strong>. I don’t know how many days you will spare for Munich, but you can visit these 3 groups on different days depending on the number of days you allocate.

Munich Center Attractions
Marienplatz
This is the full list of Munich attractions heartland. Because the heart of Munich beats at Marienplatz Square. Places you will see in Marienplatz Square: Altes Rathaus, Neues Rathaus, St.. Peter’s Church.
A wheat market was established in Marienplatz until the middle of the 19th century.. It was also used as the place where criminals were hanged during the square.. 1 in 1638. Neuses Rathaus – New Town Hall (New Town Hall)

St. Peter’s Church
We are starting the series of churches in the list of places to visit in Munich. So that means you’ll see a significant amount of churches on our list.. Which European city isn’t like that anyway? But it’s really worth seeing all the churches from small to big. One feels like visiting a museum, not a place of worship.
The oldest church in Munich, St Peter’s Church was built in 1158. In the great fire in 1327, all parts of the church except the tower were burned and a gothic building was built instead of the church.. In the 17th century, a single-cone tower was built according to the Renaissance style, but this. The 91-metre (299 ft) tower of the church is known as “Alter Peter” (Old Peter). Viktualienmarkt (Marketplace)
Viktualienmarkt, Munich’s best-known market place, very very close to Marienplatz. What are you looking for, from a vegetable seller to a delicatessen, from a soup seller to a fisherman here?. Asamkirche (Church)
Asamkirche in Munich one of the late Baroque churches between the buildings on Sendlingerstraße, the heart of shopping. The church was built between 1733 and 1746 by two brothers as a private chapel for the greater glory of God and the salvation of the builders.
The church can be visited free of charge, but only in the lobby area. The main body of the building is closed to visitors. However, you can easily see many statues through the wrought iron gates.

Sendlinger Tor

Theatinerkirche is one of the beautiful churches in Munich with its yellow color and magnificent architecture. St.. Cajetan Theatine Church (German: Theatinerkirche) is a Catholic church located in Munich, in the south of Germany. Its construction lasted from 1663 to 1690.
It was founded in 1662 by Elector Ferdinand Maria and his wife Henriette Adelaide of Savoy as a gesture of thanks for the birth of Prince Max Emanuel, the long-awaited heir to the Bavarian throne. Look at the gift!

Hofgarten
Hofgarten was built in the style of an Italian Renaissance garden by the Bavarian Elector Maximilian between 1613 and 1617. In the center of the garden is a temple for the goddess Diana, built by the elder Heinrich Schön in 1615.

Englischer Garten (English Garden)
Englischer Garten I’m starting places to visit around Munich. You can reach the part up to Schongau heading below by bus, metro and train, 10-15 minutes away from Munich center, 20 minutes away.
Englischer Garten is a huge park in the center of the city.. This park was established in 1789 by Sir Benjamin Thompson (1753-1814), then by Count Rumford, for Prince Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria. Thompson’s successors Reinhard von Werneck (1757-1842) and Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell (1750-1823) took over this project and expanded and developed the park. The park has been in use for nearly 230 years and is frequented by Munich residents..
Whatever you want to do at the Englischer Garten, you can have a picnic here, enjoy the beer gardens, play football on the wide meadows or sit and accompany the musicians here.. There are 3 beer houses in Englischer Garten. These are the China Tower with a capacity of 7000 people, the Hirschau Beer garden with a capacity of 2500 people, and the smaller Aumeister beer garden. Right in the middle of the Englischer Garten is a beautiful Seehaus (lake house). If you have time, you can eat here.

With Schongau we start with bonus places to visit outside of Munich. I can confidently say that these are the most legendary places in Munich.. If you have time, definitely include these places in the list of places to visit in Munich.
Schongau is a very cute town near Munich.. Neighboring the Alps, Schongau is between Landsberg am Lech and Füssen. Schongau is also one of the last main stops before the southern and final section of the Romantic Road.. Many Turks live in this beautiful town with a population of around 10,000.

Neuschwanstein Castle – Schloss Neuschwanstein
In our opinion We came to the 10-star place in the list of places to visit in Munich. If you have spent more than 2 days in Munich, definitely add Neuschwanstein Castle to your list.. Praises are not enough here. Germany’s most beautiful, most legendary castle.
Neuschwanstein Castle is perched on a steep hill in the town of Hohenschwangau, near Füssen.. The castle consists of 6 floors, this is 19. Lake Eibsee (Eibsee Lake)
One of the places to visit around Munich, Lake Eibsee will fascinate you with its beauty. Lake Eibsee, Garmisch – a large lake in Partenkirchen lying at the base of Germany’s highest mountain, the Zugspitze. This place is located right on the Austrian-German border. It is truly a legendary place.

If you have extra time when you come to Lake Eibsee, the highest mountain in Germany, You can take the cable car to the Zugspitze. Your journey by cable car is 4 km in total.. The capacity of the gondolas that go up the mountain is quite high.. The fee for the cable car is 48 Euros.
