SHARM TRAVEL NOTES
While looking for flight tickets on THY’s site so that we can find our joy even if we get bored with the gloomy winter days I stumble upon Sharm tickets. It says round trip 129 Euro including taxes, and I say why not 🙂 We have met and liked Red Sea since we went to Hurghada many years ago.. In fact, I have a feeling of being stuck in the UK since we couldn’t go diving for the sake of desert safari on that holiday.. Now it’s time to fix that ukde left.. Now let’s come to Sharm El Sheikh places to visit…
Is there still a visa to Egypt? there was. So, is the visa taken at the door? It is most likely taken, but according to the consulate, it is not a guarantee for those under the age of 45 🙁 with a cost of 100 TL per head from the consulate. As soon as we land in Sharm airport, we see that people get visas as we expected, we smile 🙂
We leave the airport and face the problem of transportation from the airport to the hotel without getting ripped off in a backward country.. We close the door they opened from 30 euros to 10 euros. If the taximeter is turned on, it will be 5 Euros at the most, and we return to 5 Euros on the way back 🙂 In fact, we do not like the countries where everything is negotiable, where you try to bargain to buy what is sold for five, but what’s up, go to Nice at the end of March and go to a 5-star holiday village with fish. you can’t swim:) both the climate and the budget can’t afford it 🙂
Our hotel Sunrise Arabian Beach Resort is our Voyages or Rixos with its modern decoration with oriental motifs, various pools, all-inclusive system A 5 star resort in ‘s setting. Not to mention that they are half the price 🙂
Since our flight from Istanbul to Sharm is midnight, we enter the hotel in the middle of the morning, before it even gets light.. Thanks to the hospitable receptionist directing us to our room immediately.. And free of charge:) When we enter our room, we see rose petals in our bathroom on our bed, you know, there are ducks from the towel in the hotel promotional photos, it’s super 🙂 We have a good sleep and run down to the seaside. A stylish beach, a turquoise sea, we love it. When we go out to the pier and look at it, we are officially falling apart.. The corals and colorful fishes that we only hope to see on the boat tour are in front of our hotel’s pier! Oh my god so excited! We jump right into the water. There is no such thing as getting too close to the corals and touching them.. When they dock, the attendant on the pier blows his whistle 🙂 The sea is amazing, Nemo and his friends are parade among the corals 🙂 The sea water is actually cool. Being in Sharm at the end of March is almost as hot as being in Kemer at the end of May.. In other words, since the sea warms up late and cools down late, the air is warm enough but the water is cool.. For those who don’t like cool water, April and May may be more suitable for Sharm. Similarly, in October and November. We spend the whole day swimming with Nemo and lying on the sun loungers 🙂 One of the best features of this hotel for me is that it has free à la carte restaurants with cuisines from 5 different countries. Just like the A+ resorts in our country 🙂 We are at the French restaurant on a terrace with a bird’s-eye view of the entire facility for our first dinner.. We start with onion soup and continue with entrecote.. The brand of our wine accompanying our meal is Omar Khayyam. I can’t think of a person’s name that would suit a wine bottle better.. There is even a show in the amphitheater after dinner, but this much resort mode is beyond us.. We go down to the center to explore the places to visit in Sharm. 3 Euro 5 Euro bargaining starts as soon as you step out of the resort. The currency of the men is mainly Egyptian pounds, but Dollars and Euros come all the way 🙂
Naama Bay, the center of Sharm, is like the bazaars of holiday resorts like Marmaris Side, in our country… Lots of shops, lots of restaurants , cafe nest. pretty chaotic. Instead of “Come, brother, come” here, there are “My friend where are u from”. We come across the snake dance, which is unique, but since there are plenty of dancing cobras in Marrakech, we skip this one.. We are road tired, we say hello to the taxi driver who brought us and return to our Arabian Beach Resort.
The next day is spent with standard holiday village activities such as swimming, laying, eating and drinking.. For the next day we arrange a boat tour to see Ras Mohammed National Park. We are at Chinese restaurant for dinner. We already love Chinese cuisine and we leave the table happy. After dinner, we go to the karaoke bar of our resort.. I get great applause from the audience with the song I sang “Stand by me” 🙂 I had so much fun that night. When we wake up early in the morning to go on a boat tour, it almost breaks my heart to see that the weather is cloudy and the giant bamboo tree leaves in the hotel are blowing in the wind that blows like crazy.. Our guide in the minibus that picked us up said, “Don’t worry, you’re in Egypt.. The weather here is sunny 360 days a year,” he says, and indeed, as he said, in an hour or two the haze goes away and the sun begins to shine brightly.. What a strange climate! We patiently repulse attempts to get us around and sell things before we get on the boat, and we’re finally on the boat.
There are those who come to the boat for scuba diving and those who come for snorkelling.. I prefer snorkelling even though I am an old scuba player. Nemo’s are everywhere anyway, no need to dig deep and lose color. Actually, I don’t have the courage to go scuba diving in an uncanny country like Egypt.. Over the years, the flying and escaping Özlem is getting worse, I am aware too 🙂
We anchor in three or five different coves and jump into the water, similar to our boat tours.. I’m straight into swimming goggles as I’m more of a diving freak than snorkeling surface rides. In the places I dive, I don’t come across much more than the beauty I see while swimming in front of our hotel.. I’m just discovering larger coral reefs and a few different kinds of fish.
When we finish the boat tour and return to our hotel with the minibus entrusted to Allah, I sigh again.. We have a reservation for Thai cuisine this time for the evening.. Although the sweet sauced meats of Thai cuisine do not appeal to us at all, we would like to give it another chance while we have the opportunity.. interestingly we like it. I think there are some western modifications to the dishes…
And the last day is my birthday.
I’m both drunk and in mourning.

I’m at the age where I sing:) <
I blow out the candle on my cake, which the Turkish manager of our hotel made us as a gesture, and I’m aging another year, Long live!
We came to Sharm one night, we are leaving again in the morning. You gave us a great holiday, Nemos, we love you 🙂
