After a 6-hour flight, I reached Seattle from NewYork at around 5 am.. There are shuttle services from Seattle to the city centre, but it starts at 6 o’clock.. After spending some time at the airport, I took the Shuttle.. Shuttle’s driver tells me both left and right, and also drives the vehicle.. He says the best place to start exploring the city at this time of the morning is Pike Place Market.. And he gets me out of the car at this point.
Pike Place Market was first opened in 1907 as a place for farmers to sell their produce.. But now it also has a large fish market.. It was very enjoyable to watch the freshly arrived fish lined up on the counter in the morning.. At the same time, there are many gift shops, restaurants, and handicraft stores in Pike Place Market.
Just across from here is Seattle. Art Museum can be visited. The streets are so orderly like a battlement. It consists of roads that cross each other.
From here on, I go to the area called Pioneer Square, which is home to different architectural structures.. It was the first settlement here in 1852, but after the fire in 1889, the city was rebuilt.. You can see many second-hand book stands, small boutiques and galleries in this area.
Seattle in the past, because of its proximity to gold mines and its harbors, it’s called “Gateway to Gold
