We arrived at
Minsk via Kyiv with Belair Airlines. Planes are rather small and neglected. Those who are afraid of flying should definitely consider this point.
After our short flight, we land in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. We stand in line for passport control, just when we are in line, Croatian National Football team enters the hall, they came to Minsk for a match.
As my parents have green passports, there are visa problems in this country. none. But I guess the female officer at the passport control came out from her left that morning, she insists that there is no visa. I am trying to explain to the lady in charge, “Your country does not apply a visa up to 90 days for the green passport we have,” this time, “What mission did they come with?” she says. “There is no duty, neither my mother nor my father are retired, we went as tourists. We will wander around and return to our country,” I say in vain. Meanwhile, a more senior officer arrives with a radio in his hand. The girl explains the situation in their own language, the man scolds the girl and the girl puts her stamp on it. Behind them my brother passes without a problem. Now it’s my turn, looking at all the pages of my passport one by one. “Come on, we are running out of time, let’s go to the city as soon as possible,” I say to myself. Just then, he says, “You are not in this picture.”
Come on, mmmm! I’m trying to explain, “I only have a colored lens in my eye in this photo”, but he says “fake passport” this time too. Have we moved on to the chorus of the movie? A more senior officer comes again, the girl speaks in her own language, the man scolds the girl, the girl stamps. Finally, we have all entered Minsk.
Of course, ours was a fluke. It doesn’t necessarily mean you will have problems. But if you have a Green passport and they want a visa, you can insist on it until the end.
