After visiting, seeing and even missing Lisbon, we want to praise its cuisine a little.. Those who read us know that we like to insult or even arrogantly ignore the cuisine of many places in Europe, but we cannot say that we left Lisbon very unhappy.. (Except olives. Long live the Aegean region) If you love seafood and are a sweet maniac, you will not be disappointed in Lisbon when it comes to eating and drinking.. Because there are dozens of wonderful restaurants where you can try all kinds of seafood and many patisseries where you can try all kinds of desserts.. Moreover, there are many desserts unique to Lisbon and Portugal.. In addition, it is possible to eat a lot of seafood offered to us at crazy prices in Istanbul, much more affordable here.. Come on, you’re good again!

Pasteis de Belem
The most pleasurable, most “did angels do this” of our Lisbon trip? Belem Patisserie, which makes us live its moments, is a patisserie that has the biggest share in making the Belem region so famous.. Yes, it’s very touristic, but if you’re waiting for a hipster post that likes to denigrate every touristic thing, you’re already in the wrong place, they say beautiful is beautiful there.. This patisserie, which is famous for its tiny cake with the taste of pudding on puff pastry, called Pasteis de nata, really has as much as they say.. If you don’t go, thinking it’s overrated, you might be upset.. Of course, since it is a very popular product, it is possible to come across similar products in many parts of the city.
-You can recognize it from the crowd, on the street, very close to the Jeronimos Monastery in Belem.
Cervejaria Ramiro
Before we went to Lisbon, we went to this place with our curiosity peaked because of the sayings from everyone who had visited it before, “IF YOU DON’T GO TO RAMIRO, I DON’T HALAL”. a place where locals and tourists alike. You may be intimidated by the fact that there is always a queue at the door, but your food (which also has a Turkish menu) will make up for it when you enter.. In addition, the employees are very sympathetic, the atmosphere is like a shopkeeper’s restaurant, and the prices are really affordable compared to the seafood in Istanbul.
-Get off at the Martim Moniz metro stop and get off Av.. You can easily reach Almirante Reis by walking.
-If you can’t wait for the lobsters removed from the aquarium right next to you to come to your table as food after 3 minutes, it might be a good idea not to go here.
-Reservation They don’t take it and there’s a 90% chance there’s a queue at the door.. However, it will be worth the wait, don’t be lazy.
Pois Cafe
Pois Cafe, located in the street right next to Lisbon Cathedral, is very satisfying for lunch/dinner in our opinion. Although it doesn’t have options, it’s a good option for a snack or breakfast. Although it is a cafe discovered by locals as well as tourists because it is around the cathedral, we should add it to your list of places to have a snack with its very cute decoration and location.
-You can take a short break here on the day you visit the Alfama region.
Sea Me
Sea Me has a slightly different concept than other fish restaurants in Lisbon. If we describe it as a modern fisherman, we wouldn’t be too silly in this place, if you want, you can have a solid meal and drown in sushi, if you want, you can buy all kinds of fish at home and cook it yourself, just like the locals.. (Of course, wouldn’t it make sense to have fish at home on holiday?) Especially on weekends, this restaurant, which is open until 1:30, where people come to have a drink as well as eat, is nice, as it is close to other nightlife spots in the Chiado region. It can be a dinner option.
-On Rua da Loreto, in a location where you can easily walk from the Baixa metro.
-It might make sense to make a reservation, because it can get very crowded, especially on weekends.
Mercado da Ribeira
The modern gourmet market concept, which can be encountered in many European countries such as Spain or Finland, of course also appeared in Lisbon.. We are also very pleased that we love to eat in such places.. To summarize for those who are not yet aware; In these covered markets, which sell both fresh fish, fruit and vegetables, and delicatessen products, there are also various small restaurants and you can shop, sit down and have your drink if you wish.. Let us remind you that it is open until 2 am on Friday and Saturday.
– Walking distance to Cais do Sodra metro.
Chapito Lisbon
If you decide to go on foot instead of taking a taxi, we first saw Chapito on the “X Restaurant with the World’s Best View” list of a magazine whose name is unnecessary.. Of course, when this is the case, we succumbed to our curiosity and spent one night here.. Is the view beautiful? yes awesome. If you are one of those who are angry when you are hungry, do you make a mess when they put food in front of you in a certain restaurant? Likely. And if NAIL comes out of your food, would you take down the glass and frame? never mind. It may be easier not to go.
-If you must go and plan to do it on foot, you can easily reach here by following the slope just opposite Lisbon Cathedral.
LX Factory
Actually, we liked LX Factory, which we talked about in detail in the section on places to visit in Lisbon, so much that we said “oh, even if it’s in Istanbul”, while we were talking about ready-to-eat and drink food, once again. we said let’s tell. We’ll shamelessly admit that by not telling you what happened here, we’re slyly redirecting you to our next Lisbon post.. However, it is possible to find dozens of restaurants/cafes such as 1300 Taberna, Cantina LX, Landeau Chocolate, BI-CA and Cafe Na Fabrica inside LX Factory and that you will somehow love them all. It would be a shame not to say that you can find something. Definitely must go!
-How to go is hidden here. Kıpss.
Cafe A Brasileria
We are confident that Brasileria will be one of the names that you will definitely come across when you go online and write “Best cafes in Lisbon”. Brasileria, which we do not mind going if you want to be a tourist overdose, is known as one of the oldest cafes in Lisbon as well as one of Fernando Pessoa’s favorite places.. If you ask if there is an incident, we will not be able to say that it is a big deal.. But around Rua Garrett, it can be a sweet stop to have a coffee and plan where to visit during the day.. There’s no harm in knowing we’re a tourist once in a while.
-It’s right next to the Baixa metro.
Tips
-If you have a special interest in beer two local beers here are obvious: Super Bock and Sagres with its unfortunate name. We liked both very much, but if we had to choose one, we would prefer Sagres.
-Apologizing to our fans, we think you can lower your breakfast expectations in Lisbon a little.
-If you like wine of course you will be happy here. Force all the port wines, try every variety that comes your way. (Social message: Alcohol is the uncle of all evil, ignore our advice, do not drink alcohol.)
-Portuguese are obsessed with canned fish. But they’re right, because everything we ate was delicious, we would probably eat it too if we were there.. If you want to buy these cans, which are impossible not to attract your attention with their retro looks, or even bring them to your home, your address is Conserveira de Lisboa.
