Before We Begin: When planning your Urla, you can take into account the regions they are close to next to their names so that you don’t miss the places.
Recommendations for Eating and Drinking in Urla
#1 Begendik Abi, Front of Malgaca Market:
Begendik Abi at the entrance of Malgaca Bazaar is an Urla classic. Begendik Abi, which has been one of the most popular stops of Urla for more than 20 years, is our first choice here with its casseroles that always push the top of the best lists, delicious herb dishes with olive oil and traditional pastry dishes.. There may not be a place to sit at the entrance; but when you enter the place, you meet with the cool winter garden.. Meals are from mother heirloom recipes; I guess that’s why I compare everything they prepare for their customers to what I ate from the hands of my Cretan immigrant grandmother.. In our last visit, our choice was Aegean herbs with olive oil, sea cowpea, artichoke, wrap and Cretan squash.. The taste of the cracker kebab we have mentioned will not be erased from both our palates and our memories for a long time.. We highly recommend Begendik Abi.
#2 Akın’s Place, Özbek Village:
Akın’s Place, for us on weekends to Urla The point where the roads leading to an afternoon beer or raki fish cross.. We usually go here for a chat with delicious appetizers or an afternoon break for a couple of calamari and beer.. It’s not a place with very reasonable prices and service can be slow when it’s crowded. Do not expect professional service in the restaurant logic, as it is a slightly family run business.. It is quite enjoyable if you think of it as shabby and sincere..
#3 Fırın Vourla, Sanat Sokak:
The story of the place that started in an old bakery now continues in an old repair shop garden of Urla; moreover, the most popular one in town is on Art Street.. Oven Vourla; It is mostly preferred in long-term breakfast plans and special day meals.. The ambiance of the place is very impressive, the antique shop nostalgia makes you feel like you are in a completely different world.. This is one of Urla’s decent and expensive restaurants; but you can also come to take a coffee break accompanied by Ms. Özlem’s delicious desserts.. Better if you book for food and breakfast. It also has a fireplace for the winter, let’s go again!
#4 İrmik Hanım Patisserie, Sanat Sokak and Garden Branch:
Urla’s cakes, Acıbadem French-style patisserie famous for its cookies, mostly goat’s milk natural ice creams.. Irmik Hanım Patisserie has a place both on Art Street and on Demirciler Street after passing Malgaca Market.. A cute little shop on Sanat Sokak and a shady garden in Demirciler is quite pleasant.. There are common products in both branches and if the variety you want is not available at your location, they bring it from the other branch.. Our favorite here is definitely lavender ice cream, I remember it as 7 TL per ball.. It should be noted that the prices are a bit like Nişantaşı patisserie; For example, the price of single cakes varies around 15 TL.. I also think that it is our right as a customer to expect a little more friendliness in the service; I don’t know if we had just come across a stressful moment…
#5 Urlice Vineyards Cafe, Urla Vineyards:
When you get hungry following the Urla Vineyards route, Urlice Vineyards We took the trip forward by following the suggestions.. There is no one who does not know about the Italian pizzas that Reha Bey made in the stone oven.. On the terrace we sat across from the vineyards, we sang the vegetarian pizza with pumpkin and avocado and Urlice’s Syrah Rose.. It was a great afternoon for us, we paid 130 TL in total.. We definitely and definitely recommend that you take notes for your special days.. You need to make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment.
#6 Pizzeria Luna Romana, near Urla Square:
Pizzeria Luna Romana means Urla’s most famous pizzeria would be unfair; because there is no one who has not heard of this place in İzmir! The place is shabby; it even looks a bit like street pizzeria in the style of ‘forneria’ in Italy. The thin pizzas of the couple, one Turkish and one Italian, are really delicious.. I think the best thing is that they brought the slice pizza culture in Italy to Urla with products with the same taste.. It’s like you’re in Italy while you eat. Look, now I remember my Erasmus days, hey go hey, long live Pizzeria Luna Romana!
#7 Submarine Cafe, Urla Pier:
The Submarine is in Urla One of the first places that comes to mind when we think of breakfast.. I’ve been going regularly since high school.. When I came to Izmir while I was studying at the university, I stopped by the beach with my friends for a special breakfast or coffee.. Then we realized that we are actually here at every opportunity.. Because we start our tour of Urla early in the morning from the pier.. Submarine is a good choice to wake up in the sea air.. In our last visit, we found the breakfast and its presentations have changed, let’s not forget to say that we like it more.. I remember paying 70 TL for a breakfast for two and a scrambled egg in the middle.
#8 Yörük Family Garden, Demircili Village:
Yörük Family Garden is another place we prefer for breakfast in Urla. Especially when the weather is sunny and warm, it is very enjoyable to have a village breakfast under the trees in this garden.. Since it is a large place, there is no shortage of space; however, as you can understand from its name, it is frequently preferred by families.. Relaxing breakfast place on weekdays with lots of kids on holidays.
#9 Baristocrat 3rd Wave Coffee & Roastery, near Sanat Sokak:
Izmir You can also find Baristocrat, the famous new generation, third wave coffee shop in Urla.. They have built a huge place, their coffee is also very good.. Mini note about Baristocrat; If they remove the iced coffee glasses from the tall water glass form, we will go more fondly.. By the way, there are also alcoholic coffee options here.. We drank Iced Latte, the price is 14 TL.
#10 Urla Vino Locale, Urla Vineyard Road:
During our tasting at Urla Winery on the Urla Vineyard Road route, Nurcan We also asked Ms. about the cafes in the vicinity; so this suggestion comes from ‘one who knows’. Urla Vino Locale is newer than the places on this list, but it definitely suits Urla’s vineyard route competing with Tuscany.. The venue offers tasting alternatives suitable for the wines on its menu.. We haven’t had a chance to try yet; but if you go before us maybe you want to try.
